1 year on, had an excellent year in the semiconductor industry and ended up making just under 150k in CY21 according to e-BE filing

My existing company low balled me at around 6K SGD OTE with no CPF reimbursement when I requested to be moved over to SG head office, so I applied elsewhere and was relocated at a better than expected package while pivoting into the enterprise SaaS industry.

I did not reveal my existing salary package in MYR and used the advertised range in MyCareersFuture to negotiate my expected compensation. I was fortunate that my bosses are all based in the Anglosphere and wanted me to have a pay commensurate with US/EMEA team members, hence no lowballing which is typical from SG employers towards MY employees.

I would suggest to aim for at least double the converted value of your annual pay (inclusive of AWS, bonuses, EPF employer contribution).

E.g. assuming a prorated monthly pay of 20,000 MYR, you should be aiming for at least 12,150 SGD at a 3.30 exchange rate.
