Ya. Looks like will give it a pass on the import sets. Too risky anyway. Just nearly took the dive because the price is significantly cheaper than the official local sets. ππ

QUOTE(brandonkl @ Feb 23 2025, 04:10 PM) Wonder why Oppo launch this N5 premium phone in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong only on initial launch on 28 Feb 2025? Just have to thank the lovely local marketing peeps at Oppo Malaysia for making this happen. Nuff said. Am so happy we are the first aside from China! I understand not in US coz it's a Chinese phone but why not in Europe, Middle East, Oceania countries where their purchasing power is stronger than Malaysia? QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Feb 23 2025, 07:36 PM) I 'upgraded' from the Samsung Z Fold 6. Haha. So far loving it!!! Samsung has been playing it too safe with no innovations lately. QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Feb 23 2025, 10:57 PM) Pull the plug as well, got myself from 1U. Purchase extended screen crack warranty. Now...plan to sell my Pixel 9 pro xl..wonder how much it cost now Screen Crack warranty covers only for 1st year, right? I took this only (and not the Extended +1 Year Warranty) as I have a bad habit of upgrading pretty often. |

QUOTE(badboy77 @ Feb 24 2025, 02:37 AM) Hahaha bro...wahlaoeh. Baru 1st day pakai, then u ask me jor. Stress π€£π€£π€£QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Feb 24 2025, 06:24 AM) Screen crack covered for the first year i guess..last time with N3 got it for free. The extended warranty wont cover the screen crack. Thats what the SA told me. Just normal warranty. (Battery+mobo) Etc2 Yeah. But still worth it for the 2nd year warranty if plan to keep the phone long since it's only RM199. So much cheaper compared to Samsung's Fold warranty extension. πQUOTE(chtan @ Feb 24 2025, 07:56 AM) Not only me, even the shop owner himself can't. Too tight and scare to break the hinge. Thanks for the heads up on the magnetic case. I've not unboxed it yet after reading your comment on the difficulty in removing it and also the bulkiness. Very scary oh. Just have to live without the MagSafe-thingy for now. The screen protection only cover for 1 time replacement and only within 1yr. I also took this for peace of mind. I change phone very often. Someone, twice out more within a year. In fact, my N3 still under warranty. This post has been edited by shockk: Feb 24 2025, 12:08 PM |

QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Feb 24 2025, 09:54 AM) Wow you also bought one No wor, don't think will get any good offer for trade in at Oppo, so probably will sell separately after fully migrated out. Not expecting much value. Haha. Hahaha agree Samsung Fold series same same each year. Suddenly 3 buyers dy in this forum lol. Did you manage to trade in your Fold 6 when you buy the Find N5 ? QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Feb 24 2025, 11:49 AM) keeping pixel since the camera for me still the best and in a pixel die hard fan haha ... i dunno but sometime the N3 camera will be saturated i need to go to Master mode to play around and then it will be ok Still getting used to the camera. Quite impressed with Oppo and how far it has come. seems like that for a while after the master mode updateΒ as for N3 maybe hold a bit more until people sell second N5 cheapΒ So far loving the watermark, the Hasselblad colour tones and the camera hardware ability to focus near using the main sensor (which iPhone 16 Pro Max can't do as it switches to the poorer Macro mode automatically). QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Feb 24 2025, 12:14 PM) Agreed. The trade in value is very low. That's why I'm reluctant to trade in my Fold 5 too for any newer Fons Yeah. Actually main reason for me is for better battery life. The Fold 6 battery drained like water when I use it heavily. QUOTE(badboy77 @ Feb 24 2025, 12:44 PM) Hahahaha. Jangannnnnn wehhhh QUOTE(anwarmatlani @ Feb 24 2025, 01:59 PM) Yup. Pre-applied screen protector on the front. This post has been edited by shockk: Feb 25 2025, 01:18 PM |

QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Feb 25 2025, 02:31 PM) Ok thanks will go there look So far haven't used the SuperVOOC charger yet. Haha. Just using 20w PD charger and it takes quite a while to charge as the 5,600mAh size is pretty large. So far, can last me a full day of pretty heavy work usage. ScreenOnTime is WAY better than my Fold 6, but not as good as my iPhone, but that's cause I almost always use the unfolded larger display on the N5. I suppose Samsung is using low quality battery cells for their Fon, my Note 8 Note 10+ have bad battery life too. Fold 5 battery life not great either plus charging slow. Your Find N5 how many minutes to finish charging? QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Feb 25 2025, 11:42 PM) Indeed. Never used N3 before. But I like the ratio of the N5. Feels good and familiar especially since I'm coming from a Fold 6. I prefer this ratio as I use the phone more for work apps rather than content/media consumption. Finally, transferred everything from my pixel to N5. Somehow, i feel like the N3 front screen, much more friendly than the N5. Probably the screen size and ratio. |

Kongrachulasi bro QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Feb 26 2025, 06:22 PM) Guys, is there any native apps that can listen to the song and display it at the lockscreen just like Pixel? Am using Apple Music, and it does have a player on lock screen (refer to screenshot I just took below). Not sure about others like Spotify etc. ![]() |

QUOTE(badboy77 @ Feb 26 2025, 11:11 PM) 12 months 0% instalment the bestest. Can keep the saved funds in other investments first. QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Feb 27 2025, 05:07 AM) Yeah. For full work day, no issues for me. If for gamers, maybe another story. QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Feb 27 2025, 08:12 AM) Owh, not the player. What i meant is, in pixel phone, whenever there is a music playing in the radio or tv, the phone can detect the song and it shows in the lock screen or notification..so we dont have to shazam or google the song.. Wow. Ok, that's a pretty neat Pixel feature QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Feb 27 2025, 09:05 AM) Use the VOCC charger ... You will be blown away and will say what kind of shit Samsung is doing Haha. Soon will try I guess. And if not mistaken, there was some research done on SuperVOOC that shows minimal battery degradation after many cycles, which is very good. Can't remember where I read that from. Possibly few years back.π Looking at it not that cheap π |

QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Feb 27 2025, 03:08 PM) For gaming need 7000mah battery. Lol Good price if you ask me, but I would suggest to ask if screen protection warranty can be added or not. BTW just went to UR, didn't see any oppo find n5 there, they only have Samsung Honor Huawei Xiaomi maybe my eyes missed it but strangely their Facebook updates say now Find n3 the previous version is selling for RM 4999. For walk in only. Now thinking to go back again tomorrow. 4999 is OK right Honestly, N3 was so tempting to get for me too at the time when it first launched. But the price was quite prohibitive. In the end, went for N5 because cannot stand anymore from not trying an Oppo foldable. This post has been edited by shockk: Feb 27 2025, 04:30 PM |

QUOTE(10071985 @ Feb 28 2025, 10:06 AM) Yeah, agreed. βΊοΈ And I would give a little credit to the Hasselblad colour processing too. QUOTE(badboy77 @ Feb 28 2025, 12:24 PM) Wah, like that also can notice. π±π±π±Power, bro. π«‘ QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Feb 28 2025, 12:59 PM) 23mm. Later need to test more with the periscope lens. QUOTE(anwarmatlani @ Feb 28 2025, 01:13 PM) So far so good. There seems to be a more natural look with the camera, compared to the super-processed results from Apple/Samsung. πQUOTE(angel-girl @ Feb 28 2025, 02:04 PM) Yes! Am pleasantly surprised too. I prefer the camera over the Fold 6, for sure. πΈ |

QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Jul 12 2025, 01:32 PM) Fully agree. The multitasking via Oppo Boundless View (same with OnePlus Open Canvas), is really awesome to use. π Also, battery optimisation in Oppo is far superior. Just look at battery comparison reviews, where mostly the Magic V5 loses badly in battery performance despite having a higher capacity battery. π |

QUOTE(dreamthief @ Jul 2 2025, 10:01 PM) https://www.theverge.com/news/696456/honor-...ne-launch-specs Tom's Guide (under Tom's Hardware) did a very interesting comparison here: https://www.tomsguide.com/phones/android-ph...-foldable-phoneHonor somewhat not thinniest... So many caveats.. n5 for the win! Based on their testing, it seems that even by removing the front display screen protector on the Honor Magic V5, it still fails to be thinner than the Fold 7. Seems like Honor is not the thinnest foldable in the market despite their marketing claims. π |

QUOTE(AlOnE89 @ Aug 4 2025, 10:10 AM) Sadly, those youtubers didn't make any video to point out the false advertising of Honor, those local youtubers were bashing Samsung on thickness comparing to V5 Yeah. Samsung didn't claim the Fold 7 is thinnest in the world, so perhaps some influencers just bashed based on the companies marketing material data. π« I hope they're not "sponsored" in any possible way QUOTE(dreamthief @ Aug 4 2025, 01:52 PM) Since my post, many others able to debunk Honor claim. Samsung z fold 7 is thinniest. I still love my N5 because it opens fully flat automatically. In the Fold 7, doesn't always open flat as the hinge design allows for a lot of custom angles.Somewhat Zf7 is good, just edges too sharp for me. Even this year not bad, extra warranty etc is cheaper than zf5 days. So sticking to n5 for now, happy with it. |
