KUCHING (April 8): Five people were involved in a serious car accident on their way home. The driver was trapped in the driver's seat on the spot, and 2 male and 2 female passengers were trapped and seriously injured.

The car accident happened at about 5:00 this morning on the 4.5-mile traffic light section of the BDC overhead highway. The deceased was Rachel Anak Peter, a 17-year-old high school student from a residential area in Deshayum, Kota Samarahand.

The four seriously injured passengers were two 17-year-old juveniles from friends of the ethnic group, Alex alvino ak vatalis (17-year-old), a middle school student from Kampong Kampong Kampong, Serenda, and a 17-year-old from Serenda. Bylynskie ak pollard (17 years old), a middle school student who hit Kampong Engelu, Mageng, Mongolia; the 2 female injured were 19-year-old Carrollia ak herold, a friend from Kampong Klusemmawang, Kampong Kampong, Serenda (front seat) and 20-year-old friend Erina Jepy.

The 2 male injured were in serious condition and had been intubated for respiratory treatment, while the 2 females suffered internal injuries and were all rescued in the red zone.

The traffic police completed the investigation and found that the car driven by the middle school student who died on the spot was registered in the name of his mother. It is believed that he was driving secretly and went to a nightclub with friends for fun. Unexpectedly, a serious accident occurred on his way home.

The car headed towards the 4.5 mile traffic light along the above-mentioned section of the road, believed to be returning to the Kampong home in Serian, but unexpectedly ran out of control into the ditch and hit the culvert. Under the violent collision, the front of the car was seriously damaged, and the three people behind the car rushed to the front seat under the momentum, all severely injured and trapped.



The public passing by the scene of the accident called the rescue unit for help. Kuching General Hospital Emergency Department and Batu Lindang Fire and Rescue Department came to the scene successively after receiving the notification.

State Traffic Police Investigator Allison confirmed the crash when questioned today, and said Traffic Police Investigators were investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Traffic Act 987. According to preliminary investigations, it is believed that the accident occurred due to excessive speed and loss of control.
