Lenses and frames in MY are super marked up. Ive made same pair of glasses 2 weeks apart in MY and JP. My was Zeiss and JP was Hoya. MY was RM1.5k and JP was RM500. Granted the frames are different brand but the quality would be similar, plastic made in china. Check out JINS.

back to lenses, recently was advised by an optician that for progressive lenses, it is recommend to use Hoya for asian eyes. As zeiss is more for european. Not sure how true, i am using Zeiss progressive lens with not much issues.
Additionally, someone I know turned to Taiwan lens selling in FB which is much cheaper.
