Hi..I would like to buy a new hood..my buget around 2k...I have do some research regarding the hoods brand, now I stick to 3 brands-Robam, Fotile or Livinox...

1. Robam A812- Robam is China no.1 top sell of Hoods and usually strong in suction powers. But I just wonder hows their post-sales service and repair? I know Sen-H*ng is one of the authorized dealer, but still thinking on that.

2. Fotile EMS 9028 or CTS 9004- Fotile also one of the best hood brand in China. Strong in less noice. I know the service center at Shah Alam, I stay in Klang which is quite near my place and this is good if got anything need to repair or do maintenance. But near Klang area, I notice only Harvey Norman sell this brand? Is the service and repair good if got anything need to repair?

3. Livinox Lch Lapis 90ss- Initially I want to buy Livinox since got salesman highly recommend it for their heat-auto- cleaning services and good prices. But later I notice that the brand not from German and a Malaysia Brand oem from China? How the quality on it? Furthermore, how the maintenance and repair services if got anything need to be repair? I heard quite a number of bad reviews for their bad repair services?

My house is landed and not heavy cooking, so we just want to find a hood with easy to clean and surely good function as hood(don't need so high tech).

Any recommend?

sharing my limited knowledge:

all 3 brands are from China.
Fotile is the premium brand. Robam is very common, generally used.
Livinox is new entry to Malaysia market- doing a lot of promo, giving a lot of incentive to reseller.

Fotile is very established in Malaysia- after sales service should be ok.
Livinox since they are pushing hard- would expect them to set up aftersales service there after if they have enough market presence.
Robam... no comment from me as i just come to aware this brand recently.

on selection... at the end, it is just a blower, actually very little tech on it. but of course they market with all the sensor, automated flap etc.

i will just look for the highest flow rate (1800m3/hr above consider higher) and lowest noise level ( below 50dB)

on design- new launch would be the slanted glass panel. it looks very sleek indeed. but one of the "honest" salesman share with me.... do you think the panel will remain clean and spotless after cooking? or you want to spend time wiping it down?
do you it to do work for you, or do you want to work for it? Lol.

anyway- i will go for those traditional flat/square type.

So, from your sharing, seem like fotile should be the choice among all 3? Since this brand very established in Malaysia and after sales service ok and also good in reducing noise level....

Can give fujioh a try. It is Japanese brand and fits your budget

Ok..let me go and research for fujioh brand first..I thought that this brand is quite expensive...

both robam n fotile also mid to high end brand, if rm 2k u can only get their low end model.

so if rm 2k i would recommend get livinox MICA this is their high end model. Spec and design also very good

Bro, did you buy Fotile 9035? How is it? I am planning to get this one too.. but not sure if it's good... how much did the shop you charge you for Fotile 9035?
