Anyone noticed that Google Maps removed the speed/red light cam alerts from their app for years already?

Why they did that?

Waze still got that feature thankfully.

There's a back story where governments actually lobbied Google to remove the feature because in US the annual revenues of speed tickets alone is some $6Billion dollar worth.

Use Waze.

Careful yo now in Kedah here on the way to Penang got speed cams now taking from opposite side of the road with your car facing frontwards without warning. Dunno legal or not like this no warning, Waze also cannot help because it only alert you with cameras on your side of the road not the opposite side.

Deswai Waze is always better than Google Maps for this very simple feature. Hands down.

You have to watch out for overhead bridge area and places with a shady spot , near R&R area with trees right beside the main road. Polis is also human , they will not camp at 1 place for hours without shade , especially now puasa month ,the human can collapse due to dehydration.
The camera need 4 seconds to accurately gauge your speed and focus on your number plate , so if you spot them quick enough and slow down , you wont be caught.
Northern area PLUS center divider has no plants on the divider , unless southern route. Southern route got plants for polis to hide.
