I write up this post to WARN all future buyers of XIAOMI AX3200 (based on MediaTek chipset)

If want to buy the router, to mesh with other models of XIAOMI AX routers, TAKE NOTE AX3200 does not
mesh ALL XIAOMI AX routes. It will mesh with only certain models.

I don't think Shopee sellers out there, who bought the stock from manufacturers, want to
INFORM buyer about this pitfall in the production description.

Read the FINE print Click on the picture to see the fine print at the bottom.

I don't get the logic, AX3000 is based on Qualcomm Chipset, based on the fine print,
it supports meshing with AX3200.

While AX3600 is also based on Qualcomm Chipset, and yet it does not support meshing.

XIAOMI developers suck big time.

I just burnt RM200, it is useless, I cannot mesh with my powerful XIAOMI AX3600 main router.

just got my xiaomi ax3200 today.
but luckily i don need to do meshing (too bad my house i small) but if i do need to do meshing, will get another same xiaomi ax3200

if u look into Mi Home app (malaysia server), u will notice only AX9000, AX3200, AX3000 is available to be connected to the app. as these devices come in global rom which support malaysia ISP (i.e. VLAN). Thus i guess this is why it only allow meshing with these few models only.

let me know if u wan let go ur ax3200 at cheaper price.

I did not download Mi Home app,
I use the MiWIFI app instead.

In this app, I pretty sure did not list the available mesh-able routers for AX3200

Yes, AX3600 has got a global/English version available.

Yes, I paid peanuts because I initially wanted it to be a simple wifi Acess Point,
not a high-end router like ASUS RT-AX86U, since I have pfSense running as my main router.

later, I may have some plans of expanding the wifi coverage, so like to have the
mesh networking feature.

It is ok, I can put this router to use in my office.

So it is not wasted for nothing.

China firmware cannot mesh with global firmware. AX3600 with China firmware have way batter coverage than global firmware. I tried before with same router itself have different power output.

Kinda funny then... since Tplink typically uses qualcomm chipset for higher performance models of their mesh routers.

I am interested in Xiaomi Mesh AX3000 because it appears to be much cheaper than tp link of similar spec

Is this model ever officially bring in Malaysia? So far only see some xiaomi resellers sell this with mixed warranty between 6 months shop warranty to 12 months xiaomi Malaysia warranty (as one of these reseller claims)

Will this model works with Unifi VLAN and IPTV? Assuming is global version(English language firmware) should works?

Why this model cannot ever found in Xiaomi Global store online? That one big question about the availability

Working perfectly between Global as main and China units as mesh. Need to setup the mesh using LAN cable and after that you can mesh wirelessly.
