Hello everyone , I read some comments when we renew passport, the old IC cannot be used, have to change to new IC first is it  ( the one with the ghost image ).  I'm still holding my old IC renewed more than 15 years back.

Anyone who renewed their passport recently can confirm this ? Renew IC can get on the spot in UTC JPN ? 

if the IC has two pictures (one big one small) on it, that means it's the new format.

that means the officer overlooked.
