Generally, above 3K is iphone territory for me. Am usually very very reluctant to spend > 2999 for an Android phone.

same here and almost placed GT 2 Pro worth 3100 RM in Lazada, really good thing i kept browsing and found flash deal from Shopee worth 2180-2190RM(after voucher discount)

What your mainly point for mediatek? Gaming or photo? Because if u going for photo quality, mediatek doesnt doing good , smapdragon 888 , 8gen1 stil have the best AI output camera quality, if for gaming then no doubt mediatek is doing cold with low watt

Even the samsung s22ultra using same camera sensor , same lens , same set up , everything same , BUT with different SoC which is Snapdragon 8gen1 / Exynos 2200 , the final output picture will be different





Mediatek 8100 , 9000 stil new , alot of company stil not fully optimize the games/apps unless u play chinese games alot , from the games test compare to 8gen1

mediatek can be very high average FPS let say genshin impact 58.9 average FPS , but the FPS graph very unstable , keep up and down like 60 55 60 54 60 56 60 57 60 like this , while 8gen1 maybe lose in average FPS 57.8 FPS , but the grap show very stable FPS which 60 59 60 59 60 59 60 59 , 8gen1 lose in average FPS is because when heat reach certain amount , then it will drop and limit the FPS until the heat is recover and push back to normal FPS , so if u adding 1 cooling fan , running full 60fps for a long period isn't a problem


can't say 8100 9000 is bad but we have to admit that its really is another good chip for gaming


What the main point of gaming for a end user like us
- Less heat , comfort to hold
- Have best battery life

so the 8100 9000 meat this criteria which less heat , use less watt compare to 8gen1


But if u going for camera picture quality , no doubt for current time , snapdragon stil doing very very well

If u all could wait more longer period , the coming snapdragon isnt tune by samsung anymore...the 888/8gen1 tune by samsung really make alot of mobile factory headache about the HEATING problem Sampai redmi k50 Gaming edition have to use until DOUBLE VC Cooling plate to cooling down this 8gen1 fire dragon

What i see from the china news that 8gen1 PLUS might not tune by samsung anymore, hopefully heard some good news from 8gen1 PLUS
