below rm100 already enough la for play petang2 or suka2. no need upper range  racket as long can pukul the shuttle cock.
if no court main dekat luar petang2 also can as long no wind.

in that case then tennis lagi cheap apa. u literally play outdoor regardless windy or not and 1 ball could probably last a few months mem

You kidding me or what. Your mid range Badminton racquet price is low end beginner tennis racquet price

I rmbr my coach started us off with 180 bucks racquet then "upgraded" us to 280 racquet. I went online to search dafuq those racquets are from the same range, considered low end in US. Mid range ones go for 400-600 .

Tennis balls? One can cost rm20. Your shuttle cock rm20 got how many inside?

And you think badminton courts expensive please go see how big a tennis court is compared to badminton. And the surface maintenance needed. Of course. Lots of courts poorly maintened .

well to be honest i got no idea about tennis but the club i went always got empty tennis court that nobody want to play. ok i got no idea how much to rent a court per hour. so how much was it actually?
i cincai google for result and this is what i found;

Rates: The booking office is open till 7pm everyday & you need to go directly there to book the courts.

Outdoor courts : Rm6.00/hour for daytime & Rm12.00/hour for night
Indoor courts : Rm12.00/hour for daytime & Rm24.00/hour for night

in comparison, the low (read:cheapest) period of badminton court is rm12/hr, rm8 if dbkl court (and a pain in the ass to get it), and can go up to rm100+ per time slot typically 2-3hours on weekday night)

and i also assume tennis racket would last much longer than typical badminton racket that always broke due to lightweight construction and occasional clashing.. i typically change my racket 2-3 times a year

rm20? maybe 3 average good shuttlecock which can last max 2.5-3 match kek lets say around 30mins game?
