I can't wait for piranha. It's a good name too, imo. So, anyone want my Barracuda now ? Barracuda's volume controller/woofer is too fragile if you ask me. It's too heavy that it wobbles (leaving it expose to hitting your table and whatever near it) when you say, wanna pick it up to use it or put it down after use. Everytime must tuck it anywhere on me, leaving me not flexible enough to move away from my table.

I thot it was just me, but clearly it's not when I saw some of owners already on their 3rd barracuda @ newegg. With all these complaint, I still on my 2nd although my 1st broke down for unknown reason.

You came to razer thread and yet asking about logitech product. I don't say it's wrong or unethical but i think there are better threads like gaming keyboard or mouse for a better result and observation. It's like going to console thread and asking about PC games vice versa.

However, to answer ur Qs, I'll say wrist rest usually aren't that effective if you're while playing games especially high-paced one. But for normal purposes, it does help. ExactMat have two surfaces, so if your are a fan of speed, there will be a choice for you AND vice versa (control).

for basic idea on how the pricing would look like for new 1st-hand items, head up to razerzone.com.

For Malaysian retails pricing tho, u might want to ask around or wait a lil bit b4 someone comes up with that infos.

I don't know if this is OT, but I doubt it is.

I recently purchased a Razer Barracuda from...well let's just leave him anonymous for now, all I can say that he is a very trusted seller from LYN. I received it today, took it out of the box, hooked to up and was about to put in on my head when it broke!

The whole ear-piece broke from the unit. I was...well, devastated. I contacted the guy that sold it to me, he said he wanted to inform me of the "right" way to put it on my head, but didn't make it in time, he also added that it has happened to another customer, the same thing! Has anyone else had this problem before?

Another thing, my DA mouse. The Razer eXactmat, especially the "Speed" side, totally destroyed the mouse-feet, it feels like I'm grinding the mouse-feet. The "Control" side is much better. And have you noticed that you can't turn the center scroll wheel when the right-mouse button is depressed, well, this may not be so important but it could be classified as a design flaw.

What I'm trying to say is, I pay alot for these Razer stuff, assuming that their good. But frankly, I've lost confidence in them lately. I may get banged by fanboys and such, but I'm trying to voice out here. Anyone else facing quality problems with Razer stuff?

EDIT: More pictures added.

Sup there,

sorry to hear that story of urs. I am indeed, is not surprise by the news. I think I wrote on this thread or somewhere else, about how fragile is this thing. I am on my second Barracuda; my first one died on me without no obvious reason. There are few complaints found on Newegg as well.

So anyone who is opting for Barracuda, I suggest you wait for Piranha and go for that one. I even mention here that I want to sell my Barracuda and get Piranha instead. I believe Piranha will be well-enhanced after few flaws found on Barracuda. Plus, Piranha is much smaller and lighter, which make it less fragile ( I wrote like a paragraph why the weight affect it's fragileness, and I am not going to write it down here).

I used couple of Razers too, but Barracuda is the only I found flawed. Others working fine up to today (DA, ExactMat, Krait).

not just maverick, mine oso. But I never say don't buy it tho. It's up to you. I'll get piranha if I were to choose between those two. Cheaper but more effective.

I came, I saw, I analyzed and observed. The Barracuda was begging me to break it, but it was doing so on someone else's head...I waited as long as I could, which wasn't long, was in a rush today...so in the end, I didn't get to "break" it, but do not despair!! For I will return!! TOMORROW!! Tomorrow, I'm taking the train there, going straight to the Razer booth, "break" it, smile, take a pic and go home and pray they don't sue me.

Oh, and I got a look at the Lycosa, well, I have to say, the keys are hard to read in daytime, barely readable with the lights on at daytime too, the thing is a major fingerprint magnet, and it's not cheap!! I have to really think this through....at the same time, I couldn't find the G15, they said stock will only arrive tomorrow, well, technically, today actually...lol...oh, and the estimated price is 340!!! My dad is scolding me for even CONSIDERING to buy it..lol!! Times change, don't they?

Dude ur funny as hell. I hope they don't charge u for breaking it. That is an absurd way to prove a point but I do understand what's inside that make u so determine with that plan.

Right now I have to pass away all the gaming peripherals, since I have to invest as much as I could into my upcoming gaming laptop.

4 razer mouses ? Man they surely love to have someone like u man. Keep it up!

However did anyone of here has seen the review of Lachi? They say nothing beat the ergonomic features of DA, but Lachi dominates in any other fields.

@choyster,

I get what u mean. I play competitive cs 1.6 tourney in the US. I won't say there will be much game changing performance if winning is your only goal and option. It's too specific that from the size of ur hand, and the dpi that u comfortable with, determine how can u optimize ur skills.

For instance, I trained with Logitech RM20 mouse better and have better performance compared to Razer Krait within LONG HOURS of playing. For the first hour, seems Razer Krait beats that cheap mouse but for the whole frames, the Logitech is much more effective.

After get annoyed with both inconsistent of both mouse, I get a DA instead and the ergonomic shape really helps me comfortable to play, in my case, Counter-Strike.

Lots of PROs only play one game, which the game they pro at. I asked lots of top amateur going pros and pros, they usually play one or two games since they have to train everyday to make them, like u already know, a pro. Another example would be the renowned Korean SuperStar Gamers that play StarCraft like it is a career.. There was an article in last month or last 2 month on PC Gamer, on how their schedule is. They have to live like in a fret house, and all they do is basically training. Some of the sponsors even prohibit them from DATING girls/boys.

Say if u only play for fun and feels a gaming mouse does not worth the money squeezed, I total understand that. Not all of us born as pros u know, some even born, live and die newb. With gaming mouse, at least u don't look like one, at least.
