Its actually well priced for a USB headphone. Icemat and Steelseries both cost 460 and above.
But remember this aren't for music, so don't go complaining that it doesn't sound good when you're playing songs.

Bass isn't very strong, soundstaging is wide, instrument and vocal seperation is pretty good. And the mids are pretty rich. Vocals,percussion and string instruments sound very good. But, depth of bass isn't something to shout about. Needs an amp to add fullness to the sound.
Anyway where can you find a K171? If I can't get enough cash or I decide to be a miser, K171 should be good for my ears

Laser 3G is only available on the Lachesis. Its not even released yet, and not many people has access to the demo/test units. Pretty unrealistic question no?

Just went to razerblueprints to see what sort of problems.
I see what razer claimed for 3G laser, still under performing for low sensi. Well, thats to be expected, laser, although improved, still doesn't cut for low sensi. Should be a fine high sensi players mouse though.
The 64 bit OS issues, well is to be expected, it is still a new product, whether its a rushed release or not, we'll never know =/ or do we?

It's a known Lachesis problem. Razer has not issued it as a hardware or software problem, to put it simply, overly sensitive sensor.

Here is where you're wrong. The Boomslang did have a ball correct. But it used optical sensors to TRACK the ball.

Nah I don't hate the Viper, its just that the optical sensor can't keep up with low sens play.

Everglide Monstermats and Razer Mantis' use the same cloth tech, but it definitely is different in terms of feel.
I also thought that the Mantis speed was quite a bit quicker than the Monstermat. Actually, I shifted from Steelseries pads because of the DeathAdder, so I actually even thought the Monstermat was too quick =/

p/s I use the Fnatic pad as well. It's the best for DeathAdders. It tracks best on it other than hard surfaces and a selective other clothe pads.

Because audio is expensive technology. THX is a just a stamp of quality approval which means the Mako is able to retain performance at very loud volumes.
If you think thats bad, wait till you see Dragonfly audio cables. I don't recall the price exactly, but I think my dad was quoted RM500 per meter i think.
