i tot when sound waves travel in equal magnitude, they cancel each other? so your mako volume will be weaker. That's why in woofer system positioning, we either put it left OR right in front, not centre. cos once the bass bounced from walls, it created uneven waves that wont cancel each other.

hehe...sorry for the confusing explanation.

Um, Krait uses the 2G Infrared sensor.... not the 3G one like the Deathadder or Diamonback 3G

For all that you need to know why Razer Mako cost a bomb...hopefully it works magically as it says so on paper...

Downfiring speakers all come with one weakness. It has to be on a very hard surface like glass. Else, mids and highs usually get drowned by bass. Vocals sound like honks and that isn't good.

The staging of the sound, I guess it probably will work as marketed. But well, since its omni-directional I do wonder how the audio imaging will be like.

The Razer Mako(tm) 2.1 bi-amplified multimedia speaker system is co-developed by the audio scientists of gaming audio leader Razer(tm) and audio industry pioneer THX Ltd. It is the first desktop speaker system to incorporate the THX Ground Plane(tm) and THX Slot Speaker(tm) technologies, as well as ClassHD(tm) Digital Amplifier Technology, which enable rich, omnidirectional audio effects that will redefine the desktop sound experience.

see, its marketed as a desktop speaker system like most are.
so unless you got some nice wooly lamb on your desk, i dont see what weakness the downfiring speakers have tongue.gif

Go to Audiophile section of Lowyat.net. Don't waste your money on Razer Barracuda and Piranha.

Me too...I felt buying the exactmat to be an utter waste of money. I'm using my Deathadder on nothing, and glides smoother and I feel more satisfied with its rhythm of movement.
