I've just return from oversea for less than 2 months and would like to proposed to my gf. There are a few question would like to get an answer, thanks for helping in advance.

1) What are the price range for a proposal ring and brands that you recommend that have nice design? I'm not rich but would like to buy an average ring for her.

2) To give her a surprise proposal, you need to purchase the ring prior but how can you measure the size of her finger and get the right size of the ring?

3) To register at JPN, is it a long queue that i need to book few months ahead? Any express method to book. 2-3 weeks time sufficient?

1. I have seen some affordable ones at RM1k range. The nicer ones are of course more expensive.

2. Well, most of the time couples would have already discussed about marriage before the proposal. Use this opportunity to shop around with her and get her ring size. Actually, it's rare for a guy to give a complete proposal surprise.

3. There's no need to make any booking at govt office now including JPN. Just walk in will do and submit your application.

1. Diamond ring Rm1k? You sure? why i see average around RM5k-Rm8k @@ , around 0.4 , 0.5 carat.

3. Need to submit the application more than 21 days if i'm not mistaken?

1. Yes, there are cheap ones out there as low as RM1k range. That's the engagement ring alone. Same with wedding band, there are cheap ones out there.

3. Yes, you need to let JPN put up the notice for at least 21+1 days on the notice board before you can have the marriage registration.
