Is it true that a laundry shop/dobi produces dust and can be a source of allergens to the occupants next door?

Eg: Laundy Shop/Dobi (Corner Shop - Ground Floor), Homestay (Second Shop - First & Second Floor)

TQ

Yes.

There is always a filter in the washing machine to capture the wet 'dust' and in commercial dryer, most will divert the hot air plus 'dried dust' to outside similar to kitchen cooker hood system.

If you are staying close to the shop and have sensitive nose or asthmatic, you will have problem.

My spouse is an asthmatic and a slight change in weather or surrounding air environment (eg cushion, carpet dust etc), she will suffer an attack.

Sometime when folding towels or sweaters she will also suffer an attack.
