I just received a notification regarding 30days free speed upgrade, from 100Mbps to 300Mbps, but unfortunately the modem is not supported 300Mbps and it always capped to 92Mbps, can I request new modem?

My here still using Huawei HG850a modem, almost 10 years old, I had changed the LAN cable but still stuck at 90+Mbps 😅. So obviously it is not supported more than 100Mbps
Btw I using my own TP-Link AX73 router, so it is not a problem 😂

It is not router problem, it is ONU/router speed capped issue. I using HG850a modem by the way, almost 10 years old.

Last time 2019 I had asked to change it but they say no need to change, if want change can call, why change things don't want change at one time, want ask technician come at second time 😅.

Anyways, will contact with TM CS again.

Well, for my situation is a bit different. Last time I use 50Mbps with RM179 then in end of 2019 got 100Mbps RM129 then I planned to "downgraded" the price with upgrade speed as that time 500Mbps after turbo upgrade is no needed for me so go TM Point change package. When upgrade to 100Mbps, technician got came to change router only, I asked why don't change together with modem as well, they said your current modem is sufficient to use...you have to request again to TM CS in order to change, I also speechless and drag the modem change until now...

Previously I had tried, they said your speed (100Mbps) is not lower than 30%, so you are not allowed to change. This might be the best time to change ONU with free 30 days speed upgrade. I tried through live chat, will try again later on live chat, if still not allowed me to do that, I will call 100...

Just now technician came to change modem/ONU, he came to my house and see my modem then direct know already what is the problem 🤣. Then he change new ONU, Nokia brand, quite a compact one.

Now I speed test, can get over 100+Mbps already, finally. As I mentioned yesterday I got 30 days free speed upgrade (100 to 300M), and I still got around 108Mbps. I asked technician, he said "belum mula lagi", I shocked and maybe will ask TM CS later.

Well technician didn't even talk about contract reset, just straight change for me, by right modem/ONU replacement is lifetime warranty, need technician to help on it.


I asked TM CS on afternoon to check system, CS said still 100Mbps. Maybe need receive SMS in order to enjoy 30 days free speed upgrade. But for now at least no longer stuck on 90+Mbps anymore and get back 10% of speed.

I waiting for them to offer me "staywithunifi" with 300Mbps at same price (RM129).

Today I went to TM Point for asking staywithunifi 300Mbps package as original 100Mbps contract has been expired. She said everything are the same (RM129+6%) and minus unifiTV pack, The CS said have to wait 7 working days to process the order, and she said after 7 working days no any status means cannot enjoy the package.

Then later I had check on unifi webpage, it has a order for new installation but it shows cancelled status. May it reopen a new order again?

May I know how long they process from 100Mbps to 300Mbps? From asking at TM Point to change package.

Technician had came to change router just now for 300Mbps staywithunifi package, it comes with the latest router D-Link DIR-X1860Z. They said need wait 24 hours to change package to 300Mbps 😅

I haven't get 300Mbps yet, so I also not sure whether get Public IP or Private IP.
And anyone could know what IP address will are Public or Private IP. Current my one is 60.53.xx.xxx for 100Mbps.

Yeah, now I already get 300Mbps. I also have tried with the speed of D-Link too, it will get 200+Mbps when far a bit (around 2 walls), but still decent. But I have TP-Link Archer AX73, I change back and get 300+Mbps at the same place .
And I don't think now Unifi Portal cannot check the details of package right?

For sure Wifi 6 router, but not sure what router they will give, depends on the stock.

Nope, for my case only 1 router, I received D-Link DIR-X1860Z, without subscribe mesh package.

This brand not really sure, quite a new brand at here, need try then will know.

I just answer these 2.

Yeah, my unifi tv get cancelled. Just the only strange thing is unifi TV Pack APP Access (I apply for iqiyi for my case), it still goes on as usual, but I don't care, just continue watch it.

Fixed line still run as usual, if not mistaken my package still included 600mins free talk time (std20).

About 1 week

I also have same situation like you, same package like you too, not sure others with same package have the same situation.
