changed to SWU 300mbps package few weeks ago & noticed that the speed is very unstable.
sometimes download a 20mb ppt can take 3mins.

Noobies here want to ask bout private n public IP.Mine is 180.xx.xx.xx.How to know the different on private n public IP?

Time Fiber 100Mb/s is RM99 per month
Time Fiber RM99 x 24 Months = RM2376
UniFi RM119 x 18 Months (minus the free 6 months) = RM2142

Time Fiber gives Public IP whereas, with UniFi you'll have to provide valid proof of why you need Public IP such as CCTV usage
Time Fiber also provides symmetrical download & upload speed for 100Mb/s package. Whereas with TM, the upload speed 100Mb/s package is only 30Mb/s

Both have their pros & cons so you'll have to decide for yourself

If you noticed the 'Turbo' trend that TM introduce in 2018, they upgraded the previous packages with double the speed while maintaining the price. Also, these packages are permanent as long as the user doesn't jump ship to another telco. By this, TM also lowered the cost of their packages while making access to other newly introduce package such as 500Mbps and above. Before this, I think the highest package was 300Mbps. 100Mbps before was RM300+ while now is only RM129.
If they were to make it a limited offer as you claimed for 6 months, I don't think the report would mentioned the 2018 move because it's a permanent package.

Also according to MCMC:-
This Mandatory Standard on Access Pricing shall cover the Facilities and Services that are listed below, and shall be effective from 1 March 2023 to 31 December 2025.

If the access price is lower, they have no choice to also reduce the internet price and also it stated to last until 2025.

Again this is only an assumption but since MCMC has already access the price, it's probably is true. So, we still have to wait for an official announcement from TM itself.

I renewed my contract of 500Mbps and they gave me a new router D-link DIR AX3000. The 5Ghz network is very strong and can reach upstairs back room which is good.
But the 2.4 Ghz network is really poor. It is only around 10 Mbps, is this normal?
Most of my devices now use 5Ghz network but old phone only can connect 2.4Ghz.

Ping is fine but just cannot access. So did TM block it already?
