Changing router won't save you if your ISP sucks in terms of international routing connectivity.

TM's IP blocks have always been a mess. You get different routes with different IP ranges. It's serious mismanagement, bad planning and industry monopoly out of entitlement that cause this to happen today. They're fed more than they can handle by owning most of Malaysia's IP blocks but incapable of giving them all equal access to their international routes.

I don't know about that. TM called me out of the blue, offering me the grant. I did not change my Internet speed, only that my bills has been lowered. You should fill the form and let them call you, and you should ask them to downgrade your speed first.

Not worth it even 30% discount. You're signing a 2 years full commitment contract which means all 2 years subscription fee must be paid up.

Is it worth that much? You're given cheap e-waste hardware and cheap standard installation which if you don't want to use the service anymore halfway it's fair to only pay back for them which don't even cost more than RM250.

Nowadays bulk BTU purchase even can get as low as RM20 on China eCommerce sites such as Alibaba/Taobao.

The discount is real though. And considering that I have no plan to switch or end the service, the discount is pretty OK to me.

What is your suggestion for it?

The whole bad idea is that you're stuck for the entire 2 years without able to switch to a better ISP if you're dissatisfied with the service. I know it's differs for individual preferences.

How often do you switch your broadband service anyway? I've had this line for 10 years already, multiple times extend contract for discount/promo purpose. This isn't the same as phone telco where you may want to switch regularly.

Just upgraded to 300M SWU deal @ 129, retaining the free calls (got this confirmed on the slip). How to check in the portal if I still have the free call package?

Just try to make few calls then next bill will show up.

can do - if charge, i complain. Will check with CS too. Funny one cant see anymore if included or not.

That's why like my one.....when upgrade was told no more free call available. All the interface in the app is same. Either all 300mpbs RM129 is free call given or selective. I did not use phone service, can't tell any diff. Lol
