Just saw one of the Unifi installer on Tiktok live.

He said "Harga akan turun bulan 9,cuma belum umum sahaja"

Take it with grain of salt.

I believe it to be true.
We just don't know if it will be early September or late September.

LINK: Internet costs
Read last paragraph

QUOTE
"To be honest, the Malaysian telecommunication has been sitting on higher profit from a long time ago and it's only recently that their margins have come down, compared to regional peers whose internet service is more efficient and consumers get to enjoy it at cheaper price with higher margin," internet observer said.

No surprises there

Bestest solution; wire up.
Better solution; use mesh.
Hampeh-est solution; repeater.
just to get around or through that wall.

The majority of us SWU members aren't that loyal too. Just that we have no choice.
If HSBB ever opens up their monopoly from TM's clutches, there should definitely be a massive exodus out from TM's subscribers' pool to alternatives, if the price is right and the service is solid.
*
Unless you're a business entity and absolutely need to maintain your existing TM issued phone numbers.
We still have no Fixed Number Portability yet.
It was originally to have been implemented by December 2022 (but as per normal practice in Malaysia got delayed)

speedtest I got 500mbps. But when I use , or download it dont get 500mbps. Only 200-300mbps
*
QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Sep 11 2023, 03:46 PM)
There's such a thing as bandwidth limitation (or cap) on download server side. 200-300 mbps is very fast di in general for a single connection.

Or try at different hours

Ya, true. On paper should be like that. But who knows TM already bisik-bisik with our minister, saying we already give the customers free 6 months, free upgrade 12 months, we did called and sms everyone of them, bla bla bla. Kroni always right.
*
As long as new pricing has not been reflected in new subscriber prices TM cannot claim already MSAP-ed

Contrary to popular belief neither DNB CEO and TM CEO were fired.

the minister can extend their contracts if they can serve his political agenda .if I am not mistaken , one of the tm ex-ceo held his post for more than 10 years when streamyx was only means to go online.

Absolutely correct.
Ending a term as per contract is not being fired,

Let us keep RM 89 still the lowest price package!!! rclxms.gif
*
Hope we get RM79 as cheapest package for 50Mbps (this way Gov can claim ALL prices are lowered for everyone)
Then TM can justify RM99 for 100Mbps and RM119 for 300Mbps
And having a RM79/50mbps will also protect the Perpaduan package @ RM69/30Mbps

30Mbps @ RM69 (Perpaduan)
50Mbps @ RM79
100Mbps @ RM99
300Mbps @ RM119
etc...

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Sep 16 2023, 02:33 PM)
I think better to make 50mbps as the lowest starting plan at RM49/59. Can forget about 30mbps now.
Also TM should be looking at adjusting the upload speed, 300mbps get at minimum 100mb upload.
*
That pricing will absolutely destroy the Perpaduan package which was introduced before MSAP 2023
Also that price isn't any telco can stomach given the agreed new wholesale pricing.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Sep 16 2023, 08:09 PM)
I'm sure telco can still handle that price since pakej perpaduan has certain criteria for sign up. Existing perpaduan users can be automatically adjusted. It is all about the will to do it, which our telco is very reluctant.
*
Except then no one (B40 group etc.) will sign up for the Perpaduan package anymore dooming it as yet another failed government project.
Besides, the RM69/30Mbps package was arrived at BEFORE the 2023 MSAP pricing so it probably is minimally profitable to TM so don't expect the regular plans to be priced BELOW RM69!
And having the regular plans start at RM79/50Mbps can encourage some of the Perpaduan subscribers to "upgrade" and be more profitable to TM

QUOTE(MyProLife @ Sep 17 2023, 02:00 PM)
I think most likely will force bundle with something even though might be slightly cheaper for same speed

We already see what TM gonna offer later this month (or later) with their latest 100mbps promo force bundle with netfliks
*
If force bundle then there will be public outcry and Ministry will be forced to order TM to offer barebones internet access service.
Also it could violate anti-competition laws.
