Hey guys am getting my Civic V on Monday rclxms.gif , planning to swap out the Conti MaxContact MC5 for Primacy 4ST for maximum comfort. Anybody have experience doing this and where? also do ya'll think it's worth it to change to this tyre for max comfort (without compromising grip in wet)? cheers

don't see a point swapping out the MC5 with a Primacy....not like Primacy is alot better in terms of performance
Its not like you drive fast and sapu corner day in day out
unless you are going for PS4 or P Zero 4, then i guess its more worth it.

just my 2 cents

am not looking for any performance upside, just sheer comfort.

Primacy is not that range topping over MC5 comfort in my opinion
considering you gonna top up at least 1k for the new dough nuts....

if really seeking comfort, i would sound proof the entire car with proper sound proofing material, improve overall NVH....

Might be worth checking -->this out.

MC6 actually has better comfort ranking than primacy 4. Of course we are talking about MC6 and not MC5 here

don't know much about Primacy 4st...but the MC5 was very comfortable and got good dry grip. Noise is an issue tho...big issue...

Congrats on the new car. However, the swap makes no sense, for so called improvement in comfort which is negligible.

People normally upgrade for better performance. If not for dry, at least for better wet driving experience. And also only when their tires wears out.

Because EPF announce 10k withdrawal?

Injecting humor into a topic. Maybe he had first hand knowledge sweat.gif

But in all seriousness, I feel it is a waste of money to swap new MC5 to Primacy, unless his tires are worn out. It just doesn't justify it.

the only improvement you may get, is road noise should be quieter
