So after a while, because not that easy to find Caltex, i used BHP/Petron regularly.
Then after moving to a different location, i only fill up with Petron as they are more accessible.

So, in terms of mileage, with a few cars ( honda, proton, bmw, kia ) and my onw personal way of driving, these are my choices:

1) Petron
2) Shell
3) BHP
4) Caltex
5) Petronas

Maybe Petronas finish faster? or issit due to my driving style? or maybe petronas stations, when u fill in RM50, you get lesser volume?
Meaning, u supposed to get 24.39 liters when u fill rm50.

yes, the meters show 24.39 liters, but in actual maybe:
Petron gives you 24.43 liters (example only)
Petronas gives you 24.39 or maybe 24.35 (example only).

thats why feel like more mileage with petron?

I used to get posted in area where only buraqoil pump station is available. I tot it was bad but when when I fill up with them...eh, really non issue other than somewhat lower milage although in term of other benefits like loyalty points still kenot beat petronas/shell

Now i am curious, my place got 3 petrol station side by side, shell always crowded, petron always crowded, petronas almost no ppl and i usually go over to fill tyre pressure after fill up my car at shell

isi petronas balik dgn family lagi jauh milage dari isi petron balik sorang2..so aku pilih petronas

Caltex and BHP only. Fuel source singapore. Ppl euro 6 d..
Caltex also has techron. Ppl experiment open engine gasket after 200k pump solely caltex inside clean AF

Bhp extremely smooth. Additive amongst on par with techron.


The rest i stay away. Petronas ore kite like bec gov cars subsidy. And they have discount cards crap. Dirty arab oil

Depend on car one me shell full tank 450km++ some say only 300km++ , Petronas full tank for me is 300km++ cannot reach 400km one usually 350km je then petrol tank blink dy. Not 1 person say this dy fnf section alot this kind comment

Just like you said, they will get the petrol supply and have their own mixture formula.

May I know why Shell pumps can pump very fast while Petronas pump needs to wait crazy long? Same amount Shell's just pushed through in less than 1 minute, Petronas probably needs a minute or two

Petron the worst... their old style diesel nozzle can't fit modern diesel fuel tank. Last time took me awful long time to squeeze diesel into my fuel tank at genting because the nozzle couldn't fit.

Petronas the best for me. also the many surveys done by car clubs will also confirm my 'feelings'. Plus point also that there are way more petronas stations here. Setel is another bonus.

Caltex.. creepy stations nobody want to go. As also Petron. Both only good if you want to find an empty pump. Usually in group of petrol station like kesas/mrr2/subang you can see that these 2 nobody going. I personaly only go to petron to shit as their toilet quite clean as no one coming to station. caltex toilet also bad.

Shell for my car is underpowered.

My car exclusively Shell coz near to my house, like 1-2km only..

My bikes, anything goes as long as filled, cant be picky when have small tank..

My work transport, Petronas diesel since company give Petronas fuel card...

i get the best fuel efficiency and also the most responsive throttle from petronas primax 95 with pro-drive.
seriously. for the fuel efficiency, i recorded my mileage after each fill-up - i did this a few years ago when pro-drive first came out. compared it with Shell and Petron.
for the throttle response, its just something I could feel when i pressed the throttle pedal.
