I need further information on how to apply a UK student visa in Malaysia. I found information from Google, some said need to pay first and book appointment from here http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ some said just walk in. How it should be done? The link given can't be reached. Then, I found out that we have to translate documents that were in Malay to English. Is it true that we can only find a certain translation agency or govt body to translate our spm cert? Whereas other documents can be translated anywhere else in Malaysia as long as it's certified. Are there any other things that I have missed out and MUST DO before going to the UK? No jokes please. Thanks.

It has been awhile since I did it for my son . Hope I can roughly give you some idea :
Firstly , you need to get the UK university sponsership code for application , from the university that offered you a place.
Everything is done at thw visa office at MCA building Jalan Ampang KL.
Dont think you need to transalate your SPM certs.

If yes, then have you applied to the relevant universities and obtained your offers? If yes, proceed to 2. 2. When I renewed my visas a few times, I used vfsglobal for their services. They will guide you nicely all the way on what is required. There's also the https://www.gov.uk/study-uk-student-visa for you to use as reference.
