I have something to share with you guys. Last week on the 28th of September i bought a Yamaha 125ZR (Black) brand new from a bike shop. On Wednesday this week, the 2t reservoir leaks and i took it to Yamaha Service Center. Upon inspection, they found out that my 125ZR is in fact not 125ZR but instead a converted 125Z where the bodykit was changed and sport rims slapped on.

I was furious, e-mailed Yamaha, and seek legal advice. Yamaha supported me to go forward with a tribunal case against the bike shop, and everything is prepared to go ahead if they couldn't settle the matter before the tribunal. The shop owner called me still in denial but offered a peace settlement with replacing the fake 125ZR with a new 125ZR. I accepted the offer and now i got the real 125ZR.

Well, i hope i my story would help you guys better prepared against this type of con cases. The thing worth nothing are that, slap on stickers are no match for factory stickers, and rims tampering are certainly noticeable.

The shop is located in Penang, near Jelutong Police Station. A few shoplots next to it to be precise.

How can this shop do that??? That's outright cheating! Make a police report on them.

Yea, that seems to be the market response to the naza brand. They're parts are of low quality.

Make sure your engine oil level is ok. If it's not, then your engine could be eating the oil.

I've got myself a GIVI box (monolock E33), and have been using it for a month already.
Yesterday, couldn't turn the lock. suspecting that the lock has probably jammed. I tried to oil it though using the key, but won't work. Tried doing this for 1/2 hour till got the GIVI key handle cracked.

I still have a jacket and another helmet inside.

Any solutions to this?
*
Usually the GIVI stuffs are quite ok. Maybe somebody tried to break into your box and broke your lock. If you can't get it to open, either get it to a lock smith or the workshop. Otherwise, you risk breaking the darn thing.

someone asked me about which battery is better, "kering" or "basah". idon know what does he meant by that. anyone?
*
Maintenance free meaning the kering one sure better lar. No need to top up the fluid levels mar. But actually, both the batteries are basah type wan. It's just that the they totally sealed up the kering one so that the fluids cannot escape and evaporate. cool2.gif

Guys...which is better, shop loan or aeon credit?
Seems like shop loan i need to pay high d/p while aeon just 2k
but monthly is not really much different. except aeon can do 4years and shop only 3years max
*
What kind of question is this? Take out the calculator and figure it out lar. doh.gif

But rule of thumb is to pay as little interest as possible. This probably means taking the more painful choice which is to pay higher d/p and shorter loan term.

I suppose 17% U suggested is positive error right?

I believe it's not only Yamaha, I believe most of the locally manufactured motobikes r having a very high percentage error on their speedometer read-out. I had the EX5 Class and the 125Z, noticed tht both r having positive error on the speedometer but the 125Z is rediculously high and I totally agree with Ur suggestion on Yamaha, their speedometers r having positive error a way too high than the other local manufacturers.

I guess this is probably 1 kindda of their makerting strategies, assuming many hv riden their bikes and got "cheated" by the speedometer, well I'm sorry to say "cheated" here, subsequently, they will inform the other non Yamaha riders saying tht Yamaha bike is fast n thus convincing them to buy a Yamaha. Well, this is juz an assumption, I might be wrong but I was cheated by their speedometer too.

As for the LC135, I don't think it can goes faster than 130km/h in stock condition even it's riden in a so called ala-racing style. I was once driving my car at the speed of 130km/h on Pantai Timur Expressway going bec 2 K.L. n met this LC135 n was riden in ala-racing style, so I "invited" him but I later found out tht is the fastest he can goes, I would say the speed of the bike was abt 120 +-5km/h due to my car has positive speedometer error too.

Kindda curious y they called this model as "supersport" as it's only a SOHC bike with the output of lower than 15 horses even lower than the FX125 and Nova Sonic 125.

I wanted to do it but mine has got no removable silencer  cry.gif

Actually vat is the reason of removing the silencer frm the exhaust system instead of changing the entire exhaust system?
*
My mistake. It's not about removing the silencer. Usually they upgrade(?) to a new pipe that does not have a silencer.

Motorbike rider doesn't scare of dying, burning hot sun and chilly cold rain smile.gif
most motorcycle doesn't have small window on the engine cover to check the engine oil level. Recommended to change between 2 or 3k smile.gif
*
Bro, where got people change every engine oil every 2 or 3k km? blink.gif

Engine oil you change either one that occurs first - (1) Every 6 months or (2) Every 6000 km.

Hi,

Yes indeed, i am using it for my bike, actually many people think that we cannot use it for motorcycle. Just to determine the type of the engine oil as car engine oil is thicker so not suitable for it. Have to use thinner one.

Hope can help u.
*
I think the viscosity of engine oil that should be used depends on the age of the engine and not so much on whether it's a bike or a car.
