Hi, I have a problem with my bike where it couldn't start at all after it got wet in the rain. Before that was ok.

What could be the possible problem? I have changed the spark plug. The coil is ok too....

It was working fine before it got wet in the rain.
I went to shop, & that guy telling engine spoil bla bla which is definitely impossible.

Please help. TQ

maybe water get inside the air filter. The other cause maybe your spark plug is wet. Let it dry and your bike should be able to start. The shop always want to con people buying their parts. So be careful

I'm quite in a dilemma right now. I'm planning to purchase a 150cc bike for my daily commute to work. It's about 60km give and take daily. So, the candidates I have in mind is these 3 bikes. Same capacity, having about the same price range. So, I hope that some of the forumers here that familiar with these bikes about their pro and cons to help me in purchasing one of these bike.

What I have in mind is,

1) Yamaha FZ150i - naked bike, fuel injection system & 4 stroke. Not really a fan of naked bike but the FC of this bike is really awesome and great cruising speed too. Please enlighten me if there is any fairing that can be fitted to this bike. Preferably YZF R15 fairing, damn sexy haha  laugh.gif

2) Honda CBR150 - full fairing bike, 4 stroke. Love the bike, only the slim fairing turns me off. Quite nice top speed. Wandering if this bike is good for long range travels at high speed?

3) Kawasaki KRR ZX150 - full fairing bike too, 2 stroke bike. Sigh, if only this bike is a 4 stroker, I'd pick it any time. Nice top speed I'd say compared to those 2 above. The look is most appealing comparing from these 3 bikes IMO I just want to clarify the maintenance cost for this one. Is it too expensive? All those 2T and all. Any KRR owner want to clarify this to me?

Thanks in advance guys  icon_rolleyes.gif

I was also in the same dilemma as you, until last week. It took me 1 month ++ to finalise on which bike should I go for. Finally I chose KRR ZX150 (SE model). Already made booking for this Kawa & now waiting...

I wouldn't know which bike is good & which is not. I just read hundreds of reviews about those bikes & decided to settle with ZX150 as it matched my preference.

Peace,

Thanks for the info alexei  notworthy.gif  Yeah, I ride a moped/kapchai now to commute to work. Driving my car put a hole in my wallet  cry.gif  Considering the gas and toll fees and all. That EX5 served me well since I was in school haha 5 years already and still running ok  flex.gif  Well, truth be told, I don't mind speeding like a demon around 110km/h and I also don't mind to overtake all vehicles in front of me vigorously a few vehicles  whistling.gif

Now I guess I'm more inclined to KRR heheh I'm interested in the SE model too. I read once that it was produced only for 1000 units. How reliable is that info? ViraVira care to inform me? you did order a new one, yes? What's the price tag OTR?

Seriously I'm afraid of the maintenance issue of KRR. How's the spare parts pricing fair? I was informed that FZ150i parts is cheap and some can be taken from LC135 parts to use. I doomed if the KRR spare parts starts to kill me in the long run  rclxub.gif

Oh, what if I take a loong travel from home, Sg. Petani to KL once a month? Thats roughly about 370km, can KRR take that much of a beating? FZ150i wouldn't have trouble going through it since it was build as an easy rider.

The cheapest you can get KRR ZX150 SE (OTR & cash) is RM9088. Most of the places are selling about RM94XX (OTR cash). I got it from Welly & OTR there was RM10680. Quite expensive though but after considering loan & installment, the total amount is not much different compared to other places (under AEON Kredit).

If you are planning to buy this bike, I suggest you to prepare at least 6k cash (most of the places require you to place 4.5k - 5.5k). After that you may need to spend more for security, alarm, other kits etc. If you do not have much money for deposit, then have to use AEON Kredit loan but the interest is 1.2% per month = 14.4% per annum shocking.gif

Nop, 1000 units is just a rumour. This bike will be sold as long there is demand smile.gif

Hi guys, i wanna ask for opinion here.
I wanna get a big bike like Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636 prefer 4 strokes. But my budget is limit, only 10k+/-
Is there any i can get?
*
You can get a 2nd hand Naza blade 250 for about 11k - 13k. I've never seen a 2nd hand Kawa 250r yet. Other option is to get a FZ150i & get a full fairing (but still small compared to ZX-6R).

Cheers,

Hi guys.  I just like to ask this noob question... where can I buy "P" (probationary) sticker for motorcycle?  I was in Carrefour Subang Jaya and all they have are for cars.

Thanks!
*
You can even get it at any driving school nearby.

If you are buying it from elsewhere (like shops), just make sure that the sticker is according to JPJ specification.

if its 150cc or below, its about RM50+ for 3rd party insurance and RM4 for one year's road tax

It's RM2 actually, unless you do it at the post office....

QUOTE(Naoki @ Sep 13 2009, 11:18 AM)
yo all the bikers here, am gonna get B Full license very soon, and i'm thinking which bike should i go for. i'm now driving a 280hp car. and the choices in my mind is the ninja 250r, kawasaki er-6n, naza hyosung GT650R, R6 and ZX-6R for my first bike. which 1 would you guys prefer?
*
If I have the budget & B Full license, I would go for either ER-6N (1st choice) or Ninja 250R.

ER-6N is only about 30k (650cc bike). It looks so classy & rugged (the 2009 version). Ninja 250R is ok but it is about 20k for only 250cc (compared to 650cc). Kawa ZX-6R & Yamaha R6 are CBU bikes & I rather buy a good quality car for that price sweat.gif

Naza bikes are totally not recommended. I've heard may cases where the bikes are full of problems & some bikes are at the service centre for months. Recently I even saw somebody filed a case & won (Naza has to replace the engine system with the new one) but after that still got drag by Naza.

For older EX5, the engine is made in Japan. Very good quality. Newer EX5 has much much inferior quality compared to the previous one.

Thinking of buying a brand new of this model too. I think the green colour 1 looks cool  thumbup.gif .

How would U rate the bike in terms of reliability wise? Esp the power valve system (Super KIPS).

The only reason tht tells me not to buy is the 2T issue. 1st, 2Ts nowadays r not cheap and 2ndly, the will be 2T fumes on Ur clothings n Ur body even 4 a short distance of ride.
*
Bike is definitely reliable. The power valve is something that you need to get used to (or your bike needs to get used to your riding style). There was a few occasions where I speed up more than 170KM/H & when I slow down, my bike like almost going to stop. It doesn't move even when I throttle. It was like that for a few days then came back to normal. But after I often do that (maintain speed 140 - 150), it was ok. Then recently I went to slow riding & suddenly at 1 point when I speed up, the problem came back smile.gif

I don't feel the 2T smell coz I am using Motul (for this bike, you can't use cheap ones anyway) & the smoke is very less.

BTW, is anyone using Suzuki Axelo?

I just got one. Everything is fantastic in this bike except for 2 things :

1) the speed is a little slow for 125cc bike.
2) the petrol indicator is going up and down.

As for point number 1, I don't mind the speed but point 2 is worrying. The meter goes down about 20% when I am riding and goes up 20% when I stop e.g. traffic light. What could be the problem?
