QUOTE(westlife @ Mar 9 2022, 11:38 AM) yes, this is why iphone is a good. especially recent years of iphones, they are totally over powered which the performance is more than sufficient to last even up to more than 5 years easily. my iphone 6 plus is still working for my secondary for calls, sms or whatsapp, youtube etc.. of course not for gaming. yeah. SE can still be good choice since the starting price is still lower for those who do not want to fork out more $$ for more flagship iphone or iphone pro. Another school of thought, if you are going to spend RM2100 for a phone , might as well go for higher specs phone such as Iphone 12 mini RM2899 ? Either that, you can go for 2nd hand iPhone SE 2020 128GB that cost about RM1100 max (with change of battery). But iPhone SE 2022 is a good entry point for first time user or those on budget to get into Apple Ecosystem. Camera looks ok , but no night mode This post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Mar 10 2022, 08:41 AM

QUOTE(fjoru103 @ Mar 10 2022, 03:00 PM) Plan go for the 2020 if the 2022 don't have a good battery capacity. Also wonder if I constantly snap in the battery casing to se 2020, will it damage or deteriorate the battery ? I know the down side also its much heavier overall But a bit reluctant to fork 2k for the new SE haha. Ops also current Android user plan switch to iphone to try My thought as much, 2K is just very alang alang. It's a lot of money btw, and to spending that much for half baked product is like not worth it right? Even iPhone 11 at discounted price of RM2311 now might be a better buy than iPhone SE 2022, with night mode, dual camera and LONG BATTERY life.. QUOTE(fjoru103 @ Mar 10 2022, 03:43 PM) Well your right but for me personally as I am about to try iphone so ya price is an issue, also I kind of like SE due to the size and the touch ID thing Iphone 11 and beyond never on my radar largely cause of cost, design; although agreed that battery capacity much better. Oh u from android then u should get iPhone SE 2022

QUOTE(attw @ Mar 11 2022, 10:50 AM) Midrange Androids have come a long way actually - the user experience is not bad these days. Anyways, it’s just a different experience to iOS so can’t really compare that way For me, I would actually buy a 2nd hand iPhone SE 2020, and changed the original battery at Switch/machine for RM210... than buying a new RM1000 android.

QUOTE(westlife @ Mar 12 2022, 01:28 PM) Yup this is actually a better choice than iPhone 11 or iPhone se 2022. Let's hope Apple will slash this model price to RM2599 after they phase out iPhone 11 this coming september. But something tells me Apple will stop selling iPhone mini 12, and retain iPhone 12 at RM2899

QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 2 2022, 05:24 PM) Seriously not recommend to go with se unless u are seriously on budget constraint. Go for iPhone 12 mini maybe a better option. It will be a good option if Apple retains the phone after this year and sell it at RM2499, but I think Apple will phase out iPhone 12 mini after the launch of iPhone 14.

QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 2 2022, 10:45 PM) Yes I hope so. Becos I would love to collect an iPhone mini. Hope that at least iPhone 13 mini will continue to sell at least after this year new iPhone launch. I read they are phasing out all the minis... Apple may make drastic step, only sell iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone SE 3

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Apr 5 2022, 10:09 AM) dont think it worth anymore. my 2 cents a) processor b) 5G c) battery d) camera technology that enhance on SE3 e) old model - 2020 vs 2022 yea, but very good value for those who want to jump into Apple ecosystem on budget

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Apr 5 2022, 03:25 PM) well. 24 month normal contract by maxis. might as well get higher model (my 2cent feedback) IOS 16 going to kill SE (1st gen). so SE 2, most likely will stay for another year before no upgrade SE2 came out right after iPhone 11, if anything it will be another 3 years at least. (iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR , iPhone 11 still supported)
