QUOTE(simon3041 @ Jul 3 2012, 03:06 PM) prefer getting corolla and then for side way purpose, avanza's dad's ride.. Don't get me wrong. That 'Avanza Driftspec' project is just my wild imagination. Hehe. But I think it's achieveable. So it's not in the near future. It's in a very, very, very, very and very distant future. When I already got everything and some extra cash to spend. I hope I can do it though. Hehe. This post has been edited by soapmac: Jul 3 2012, 11:41 PM |

QUOTE(luqueman @ Jul 6 2012, 02:46 AM) hello avanza owner.... No offense but I dont love the design. And moreover, it is less powerful than previous Avanza. Previously it was 107hp & 141Nm. Now it's 103hp & 136Nm. Correct me if I'm wrong.. is there any owner for all new avanza 2012.... do you mind to share any pic/experience bout this car.... love the new design.... |

QUOTE(luqueman @ Jul 6 2012, 10:55 AM) yup u correct bro as mentioned in most of blogs who reviewed and test drive this car... Yes. The styling of the kit is no doubt wild and sporty. However, I don't like it since it looks bulky as there is some mental Toyota engineer paste some plastic on the bumper, making it looks wider and thinking that it looks great. Furthermore, I'm the kind of person that thinks 'fast looking car need to be backed up', you know what I mean right? Hehe.the less power due to the Euro2 requirement i think dont u think it look sportier and competitive..they hv to make an improvement to compete with the nissan GL, P1 Exora nad P2 alza.... But there are things I do like and think that it balance my upset on the design, a little. It's the little2 things: Electric Wing Mirror with Signal lamp, Grip door handle, Second row seat now can slide, Beautiful dashboard, Cool center console box and Button-ised Steering. Most of all, Toyota know that uncles and aunties love black-trimmed interior too.. |

QUOTE(luqueman @ Jul 9 2012, 12:43 AM) haahhahh but at my 1st impression is quite reasonable for the front view and if you notice, this design look almost/most likely Toyota Prado...slightly but the Prado look more sportier than all new avanza. i wonder if anyone here drove this mpv and could share their experience through out the new features that Toyota offer for this Variant.. unfortunately the side mirror cant retractable Anyway, I guess that's it. I can only comment on the design and spec sheet for now. Yup. The side mirror is not retractable. But at least it got signal lamp there. And if you see nowadays that is trending on most new cars. Maybe I'll change my side mirror, for a reasonable price, of course. About the driving experience of the all new Avanza, I'm very sorry. Never driven it before. |

QUOTE(luqueman @ Jul 10 2012, 10:06 AM) since u owned the old Avanza... About the FC, I never calculate it. Sorry once again. can you elaborate a bit on the FC + handling..... because one of my aunty claimed that the FC a bit high.... But let me tell you how I drive it. I'm quite patient on revs. Please note that I mean my highway driving here. I just put down my foot around 30% down and the revs will build up and gears will shift. After some time, I'll eventually reach 100kmh and that's it. The only way to go faster is press harder. And then, the only time I'll go pedal to the metal is when I'm overtaking and climbing up hills. Now moving on to urban driving. You see, I live in a town where traffic jams are uncommon. I also apply my 30% style here. But most of the time I just release the pedal since it can move itself. Ironically automatic LOL. As mentioned, the Avanza is my mom's and I seldom refuel when I return the car beause the fuel gauge simply dont move. And that's why I feel that it has a good FC. Anyway, my point is fuel consumption depends on how you drive and your driving environment. That's fact. About the handling, I <3 it! Basically I just don't know what understeer and oversteer feels like. Not enough driving experience here. 1. Steering response is a bit lag as when I steer a bit, there's no response. Maybe alignment problem. But I rarely steer over 180degrees when taking bends on 100kmh. Of course, the road I'm travelling is the one I'm used to already, so I know where is the fast corner and where is the corner I need to attack slowly. 2. There are concerns that the car will topple when doing those 'stunts' 3. I dont know whether it is in handling category but I think everybody agrees when I say the spoiler is not functioning when you approach a bump (not a speed bump, just the road is bumpy) at high speed. QUOTE(Deani_77 @ Jul 10 2012, 07:28 PM) 8.2L/100km. Fantastic. Is that based-on-your-own-calculation number or as-claimed-by-Toyota number? |
