I got a call from Astro yesterday saying that I need to switch to the new packs and move from IPTV to Unicast Broadband (wireless instead of the current wired setup). Thats not much of an issues, but they are saying I need to sign a 2 year contract, which I don't want to.

Its been quite a long time since I watched astro actually. Mostly its been those at home.

I wanted to ask if there is any alternatives to watch astro in house channels (ie RIA, VANAVIL); anything that does not need me to sign a contract. I cant seem to convince the household to switch to online streaming, although they already consume most of their content from Disney+, so I need alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but prefer to stay the straight road. Was looking at sooka, but they don't put all the show there.

Only thing on my mind is to get the base astro package and use streaming services in tandem to try and "convince" them there is another world other than astro.

Thats why asking here. Mana tau ada option lain.

Just cancel your current subscription and get Astro Njoi, it's the contract-free version of astro where you pay around RM300 for the box I think.

Then you addon packages or channels you want.

Are you sure it is Astro calling or salesman mati-mati pretending to be Astro employee?
if they continue to pretend, i ask direct, are you under Astro payroll, where is your office , do you have namecard or at the very least, tell them to send email from Astro official email to you, and will confirm by email.

If you seldom watch, better install njoi like i do. if possible get old account where they provide vaanavil free. new registration i think need to pay for vaanavil hd.

Should be from Astro, the number came was astro general line. At the end of the call, I asked time to think about it and she said once you decide you can call astro.

You are right, have to subscribe for the HD pack, which includes Vanavil. But the SD version can get in the normal packBut its an intruguing idea. I see you choose the channels for short period of time, ie 3 days or so. Which is good since most of these astro channels, especially the indian one only put anything new or worthwhile during perayaan.

Thanks for the suggestion.
