Looking for a chair for Work From Home, am looking for any sort of chairs that are affordable yet practical for work for home purposes. Because my back has been aching due to the long seating on a very uncomfortable plastic chair.
Definitely I am always keen to consider anything that is best value on money spent.

Not sure, if anyone have any recommendations?

I heard about Alterseat, but not sure if the price tag is really worth with all the internet marketing hype? Or Am Office? Or any sort of gaming chair?

Kinda agree with ya, the gaming chairs nowadays are a bit hype up too much. It's quite overrated IMO... Unless you aim around 2k for a SecretLab chair...

5k can use for at least 10 years. If well taken care 15-20years.

ive been using amoffice ergohuman since mid 2019, still a freaking solid chair.
hope they bring up more expensive mesh chair offering

Got the swiftX.
After 3 months of usage, the chair is wobbly. Additionally its just really uncomfortable to be honest. My friend has the due which is weirdly more comfortable. But all in all, i wouldnt buy again.

i use duo v3 almost1 year use for office,
better that previous ikea markus.
but it depends on ur body type.
the design not very gaming, and limited function but it comfortable for long sitting for long hours.

Last time bought AK Racing gaming chair, the seat cover got torn up after 6 month.

Now I custom made my chair from office supplier.
Fully wrapped with leader and perforated back.

Go shop try diff brand ones and models.. what works for others may not be comfy/suitable for u

My place de furniture shop only carries HM and ergohuman, tried them all, spent 2+ hours sitting on diff chair and decided on the embody

2+ hours what you do there?

Try sit diff chair, adjust here n there, sit long time see will butt pain, sit with leg folded, sit with one leg up, etc.
Since have to fork out so much, might as well test until I find the “perfect” one

Also end up with the most exp one

I'd go with any sort of office chair before a similarly priced gaming chair.

I think its more likely that those who produces gaming chairs would spend more of their resources making it looks "good" rather than the functionality of the chair itself. Plus the extra cost because its "gaming"

what makes u pick embody instead of aeron?

Embody has bigger and extensible/longer seat area
plus it’s “flat”, so it allow unorthodox seating, especially since it’s for home office use

It’s uncomfortable to sit cross legged or one leg up the Aeron, the plastic seat around the edge will dig into your legs/tights.

Fabric wise, embody can customise whether want Sync, Rhythm or Balance, first two are a bit more slippery/soft, balance is kinda like mesh with foam in between the fabric layer, very breathable like Aeron but comfy to sit on long naked
Another thing about embody is the fabric can be removed, so every once in a while I will disassemble the chair, remove the fabric and wash it
but balance fabric upgrade is harga yahudi la

Bought my Ergohuman V1 from AM Office in 2013. Never get backache/sore sitting in it facing computer for >10hours daily.

I'd say it's good and affordable. And it's full mesh too.

Luckily the sales man leave me to try the chairs as much as I want, basically I’m the only person in that corner section of office chairs. Probably like 20-30 minutes the guy walk pass the area to check, and during that time if I don’t know how to adjust something, I’ll only ask for his help.

I got a ttracing swiftx2020 , after 2 months major squeaking sound. After 4 months the hydraulic for up and down spoilt

Not comfortable for me .. I won’t get a gaming chair for work again , went to uni-range sungai buloh and took my time to test the chairs end up buying there .. it’s cheaper to buy because that’s the factory. Key is to try the chair before you buy. I didn’t try my swift x2020 and instantly regretted the first time I sat on it. Hope it helps
