QUOTE(TYK @ Mar 19 2022, 10:14 PM) Currently still hiring alot of people. They're growing and focusing alot here in Malaysia. I see new faces almost every week. The interview process is relatively short compared to other companies, less than a month from first contact to confirmation. workplace culture - US-style MNC. But due to clients being global, some department might be a little bit more stressful than others. But they're willing to send you around for training. pay - Above average of surrounding/similar companies. That doesn't say much since Malaysian's starting wage is just disappointing. benefits - A LOT! But due to me signing a disclosure agreement, can't really write it here. But can say that its much much better than multiple companies career advancement opportunities - They're quite open in you changing departments whenever there's an opening. But depends on your capabilities & experience. For new opening, they focus on internal hires first & foremost. Alot of people I've met came from different background as well. But most, if not all of the opening sans technician/operator roles are for experienced hires. I saw alot of openings for Managerial roles as well too. Just a few caveats, location might not be great to some due to it's placement being far from Butterworth & the Penang island itself. Just be mindful that good english is required during interviews, work etc etc. |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Mar 22 2022, 06:11 PM) How is the pay compared to the likes of AVGO AMD? I don't really know anyone that works Broadcom nor AMD but got friends in Intel though. AVGO RSUs are crazy, AMD gives 30% increment for jump Nearby is not much of a comparison for semicond. WDC pays peanuts, Micron is okay but environment is toxic. As to the other upcoming semicond companies, I am not so familiar. They do offer RSUs here but I didn't really looked into it that much. Kinda hard to compare much since LR is actually a wafer machine manufacturer rather than chip manufacturer. Micron, Intel & AMD are they type of people that buy our machines. The other comparable ones are KLA, AMAT & Tokyo Electron. None of them are here locally. I received 50% increment compared to my last job so it's quite alot for me. Environment is quite relaxed. Nothing like Jabil. |
