Just asking some opinion from the larger community of kopitiam whether to buy house or buy reit, as I think that post covid will be bull year for property.
My fengshui master advised that I should buy a house to retain my passive income, but I felt bothered of too much hidden costs and considerations by owning a house (stamp duty, reno fee, security fee, low rental yield, etc). If buying reit will consider a better alternative?
Let discuss openly.
>post covid will be bull run year for property.
>amidst Fed's rate hikes.
>while knowing BNM will be forced to do the same at one point.
yeah sure bro.
>ignoring the fact that people are already struggling with their mortgages pre-interest hike.
>ignoring the fact that if the interest hikes, people will struggle more since cash flow will become negative.
still think property prices cannot drop or if it's priced in?
yeah bro just observe after the hikes.
one thing I can say for sure is that the majority of the participants in RE are noobs who have low to zero awareness and are therefore reactionary.
in simple terms, they will only know shit has hit the fan after it happened and therefore the sells will happen all at once.
you will see how "efficient" the RE market is then.
that is why I don't agree with this kind of self-lie or iherng's RE view for the upcoming years (no offence to him as I like his videos).
keep lying to yourself that it will be bull run for years to come while ignoring the fact that people are already strapped for cash.
