The only good benefit was 10% off fruits & vege at Jaya Grocer but unsure if it still continues. After covid started i didn't renew as didn't go grocery shopping so often. If you buy a lot of fruit & vege it's very worth it as your discount will be more than RM10 a month.

If you have those fitness trackers guess can get RM10 voucher or TNG every week. Never even noticed these stuff & i link my apple watch data to it last time. For me that 10% off healthy food was worth RM10 a month.

Worth it if you're both into Health and make it a point to exercise min 3x a week.

Even more worth it if she's a member of Fitness First = 15% off monthly membership.

Simply put, it's a Weekly Challenge with Bi-Weekly Reward and not monthly as he claims:
- She has to DL the MyAIA App to track her points and earn reward
- Phone app (like Samsung Health/ Apple Health etc) to link to MyAIA App OR, you need a fitness tracker to link to MyAIA App
- After linking only it's able to capture the points for you to earn reward
- Walk min 7.5k steps per day = earn 50 points for the session; walk 12.5k steps per day = earn 100 points for the session
- Check-in to gym (fitness first) = 100 points
- Earn points based on heart rate, speed, calories etc during workout = based on a set tier system (but you need to have a fitness tracker)
- Earn points when you eat well (food tracker = submit photos) and sleep well (fitness tracking worn as you sleep too)

So all these points help her climb the tier of membership. Highest = Platinum. Lowest = Bronze.
The higher your tier, the higher the discount.

One example: if Bronze - gym member gets 10% or is it 15% OFF membership fee monthly. if Platinum - gym member gets 25% OFF membership fee monthly (if i recall correctly).

Last time they also have discount for AirAsia flight tickets. Silver i think can claim 10% or 15% discount, and then you'll have Gold another amount and Platinum the highest amount of cashback for your flight.

---

Target:
- Achieve min 250 points in a week, for 2 consecutive weeks (meaning Week 1 earn 250points, Week 2 also earn 250 points)
- Then you earn your REWARD (RM10 voucher: opt for TnG reload/ Shopee voucher/ GrabFood voucher etc)
- Basically in 1 month = chance to earn total RM 20 reward (since it's bi-weekly)

---

On top of the above, the benefit of being Vitality member:
- Cheaper gym fees
- Quarterly cashback (money banked into yr acc quarterly, based on your gym target achievement)
- 10% OFF fresh fruits, vege at Jaya Grocer
- 30% OFF Fitbit (best discount in the market imo)
- 25% OFF Garmin
- 25% OFF Reebok
etc etc
https://www.aia.com.my/en/aia-vitality/rewa...er-benefit.html

If im not mistaken, Reebok limit is up to RM 1,000 purchase (discount) per year, Fitbit is up to max 3 purchase in 1 year.

AIA also comes out with a lot of programs to help you earn points. Sometimes they even double up the points meaning you'll earn 100 points instead of 50 points for achieving 7,500 steps etc. Medical check-up, in-app mental health assessment, health declarations, fitness assessment etc banyak la basically.

So this whole Vitality thing is really for people who are onto the road of being healthy. If your wife is really not the kind of person, or isn't interested, save the RM10 and don't enroll when free month is over. Otherwise paying RM10 each month and not enjoying the benefit is quite a waste imo.

I’m a current AIA Vitality member (through work) but I don’t really utilize the app unless it’s to buy fruits and veggies at Jaya Grocer (that 10% discount is a godsend when you’re buying imported fruit that can cost RM50++). Even though I exercise, I don’t keep track of it in the app nor do I keep track of the challenges.

So yeah, if the subscription wasn’t included in my work insurance, wouldn’t waste my money on it.
