Guys I'm using an iPhone XS Max right now as we're speaking, bought it since 2018 and I have been using it ever since, but I have the desire to upgrade to a newer phone, though I don't wanna spend RM6K Cash right now for a phone, I feel like a monthly payment makes much more sense to me, my uMobile contract ends on November 7th 2022 so I was told that I MIGHT Be eligible for a phone plan. So I'm looking forward to that, but recently I kinda made the mistake of googling "Beli phone Bayar ansuran" I found this site called Ansuran Mudah KL (AMKL)

So on last saturday, February 5th 2022, I had contacted one of the person whose phone number was advertised in that site, I told her that I was interested in Samsung 20 Ultra 5G, however I wanted one that comes with Snapdragon processor not Exynos, they only had Exynos atm and there was no way they can make an exception for me to order a Snapdragon, so I told her "Fine but do you have Asus ROG 5S by any chance?" She said yes, I applied for that under AEON because apparently I'm not qualified for JCL (Because I didn't have more than 1 person to contact in case of emergency) I was silly to even pick Asus ROG 5S, because I was not aware that it doesn't have Water Resistant IP Rating to it... Keep in mind that the application has not yet approved by AEON, I was told that I will be getting a call from AEON to confirm such purchase, I was hoping to tell them that I wanted to change my mind, I had called AEON today at 5PM in hopes to cancel it on the spot, however they told me that the application is still new, so I just needed to wait for AEON To call me, and then I can tell them that I wanna cancel it.

What I'm trying to ask is, should I wait? I know I was told to wait, but I'm just being paranoid so I need some advice from you guys who has experience with installment Items.

Buy with loan is silly.

If the device kaput, u still need to buy a new device and service the previous loan.

Now they are offering installment plans, but not sure their shop shifted or not. xD if im not mistaken DirectD also have installment plan. Or at Aeon, i think have also. Not so sure. Im actually waiting for Samsung S22 Ultra. hahaha. Gonna watch the unpacked even tonight. xD and decide later on if i want to purchase or not haha

well, it depends, can you buy that phone in cash lump sum?
if can, I would suggest get 6mths 0% interest installment, cuz for me, cash in hand better
if cannot, then you should get cheaper phone that you could afford, then get installment on that

installment with telco is cheaper if u already have a plan with them. taking loan with aeon is expensive, at the end of the day u'll be paying almost 2 times your actual phone cost

My ip8 plus is 4 years now, bought using cc swipe in full. But i fully paid the cc immediately though.

Also, i am using celcom legacy blue rm45 5GB package. Hell no i am going to convert to the wasted Gold packags and beyond. House got unifi, office got wifi.
Been loyal to celcom since 2001 actually.

I am beginning to think buying phone with either full cc swipe or full cash is stupid.
I mean, why not spread the total cost with a 0% installment ya?
I can use the money for crypto or other investment drives.

What do /k think?

its best to buy when you got the cash.. installment is not worth it considering if you need that extra cash each month but its not available cos it goes to installment repayment..
