Hi fellow community, I recently collected my key and I wasn't happy looking at these noticeable gaps for my laminated floor. Filed a long list of defects complaints but the Developer didn't do bother to address this gap...any thoughts?

QUOTE(Ricky300 @ Feb 7 2022, 09:17 AM) Hi fellow community, I recently collected my key and I wasn't happy looking at these noticeable gaps for my vinyl floor. Filed a long list of defects complaints but the Developer didn't do bother to address this gap...any thoughts? Some developers are fxxx up. Maybe supplier/installer also have disputes with developer ... the reason why is not done. I know is not your problem, but that is how things 'work'. Cont to follow up or if is the last defect left, buy a small tub of wood filler to patch it up. Then varnish. It comes in different color, so buy the closest to match. Is this laminated floor or just vinyl floor? Looks like laminated flooring to me. Yes, this is normal. Even hidden behind the skirting along the wall there is a gap about the same like you saw. This is to give way for expansion when temp rises.

the first pic its not even sealed up.
water damage will happen sooner or later. you can complain all you like but most likely they are not going to give a shit. better to get soem silicone sealant and do it yourself or get someone to fix it for u. find a matching silicone sealant if possible or get the white one and paint it to look nicer. |
