What rule u guy typicaly play mahjong? Got use fei?

If 3 ppl it’s compulsory, if 4 we use the jokers & all “flowers” excluding “plain tiles”.

fei is wild card, can replace any card even a flower card to draw, called "dun fei" (down fei)

you can use fei to pong but if someone with actual cards to pong will take precedence over your fei-linked pong

also if your fei is outside as a 3 of a kind replacement, you can bring it back if you draw the actual card, it's called "hei fei" (up fei)

fei is also paid per card as is. meaning whoever has fei will get paid a fixed $ pre-determined amount for the game.

u can use fei as flower to draw a tile and it become a flower. sometimes i use this trick if i not enuff of flower to win

you cannot "use" a flower card, it's just to add "faan" (score) to your total score, but also depending on your wind

red/black flower 1 for dealing player, then 2 and 3 for the next subsequent player respectively. flower 4 is applicable to any player, if you get the same color all 4 tiles, you get paid as "kong"

animal cards (cat, mouse, cock, centipede) applicable to all players, if you get all 4, also get paid as "kong"

clown card, applicable to all players, get paid as kong as well if you get all 4

more flower cards = helps to add minimum score for your hand to "sik wu" (minimum 5 faan). if you manage to get 10 faan when you sik wu, you get the max score.
