Hi guys, i saw shopee alot those drill less wall hook i plan to hang my speaker on the main beam, i think main beam shud be hard to drill.. the speaker around 2.5kg only maybe include cable weight 3kg. The beam is painted cement type. Quite smooth la maybe abit dusty, should be okay?

Ah damn… like tat really need to do messy work sad.gif i think can drill no need too deep since is not too heavy.

Normally beam inside is steel rebar ka and fully cemented ka? Or can be brick?

This depends on the age and quality of your wall paint.

Also depends on the age of the hook you purchased. If it's old stock, it probably starts to disintegrate already.

No harm in trying it first, it's not that expensive. This thing works because of the large surface area.

If its not shiny smooth it wont stick. This works best on glass or smooth tiles. For painted walls you might have better luck with double sided silicon tape. But still kinda janky for my liking.

This is landed house with concrete beam "outline" right?
At the top 2 feet or so will be poured concrete, with some iron rebar inside.

Worst case you just need a rotary hammer to drill through only.
2.5kg isn't going to stick well on paint.

Yaya landed house. Something like this. I wan drill at top the horizontal beam above the lighting near to ceiling to mount my atmos module. Wont affect the beam much if just 2 small hole right?

Two little holes for wall plugs will be fine.

I dont think the nail can penetrate the beam if drilling is tough.

These type is only good for glossy surface minus the nail. For painted wall, more likely it will drop off together with the paint after sometime.Attached Image
