MightyUtan.com.my is my go-to site for online lego purchases on a budget. Lurk there often till you discover some sets going at 30% off.

I noticed local LEGO FB groups aka LUG died down after there's no special perks (like bulk purchase discount) offered back in those good old days. So I guess people kinda don't wanna be bothered with that anymore .

Hi all Lego builders, do you guys have any idea where do i get individual lego parts? like specific ones, i do prefer a local shop. Am not sure our lego stores sells individual parts or not i have not check it out yet

bricklink.com is definitely the place to go. there's many stores to choose from even in Malaysia.

I always buy from one of them to complete my custom lego projects. thank god they exist or else my project would go nowhere!

have fun!

I usually very picky when using bricklink and keep my items in cart for months before finally checking out and commit to buy. This is becoz I am very specific on the exact parts I want to complete my projects (hopefully can 1 bird 3 stones). Thats the best part , they remembered your orders.

Sometimes waiting a bit longer the shop can restock the parts I needed. But the risk is that the price of others parts might change (eg. from 50% discount to 40%), or no longer in stock.

One funny thing happened yesterday morning around 8am where I finalizing my order (after 3 months!) . As I do so... some of the parts become "no longer in stock" when I refresh the cart to get the updated price . I think that shop's staff must have started doing their job fulfilling orders by other customers who have paid. So I quickly checkout and make my payment to secure my order. lol.
