True. But if you plan to use the phone for long term, I think more ram is better. We will never know what will happen to Android system in next 3-4 year. So more ram will make me feel more secured. Uncle mindset here.

My logic is pretty simple. As long as it's snapdragon, then worth it. Previous years, I kept buying new Samsung flagship while complaining about the inferior exynos chip. Now finally got the chance to try the snapdragon performance, it's time for me to stop pursuing every year. Planning to use the new phone for at least 2-3 years. So this time i decided to go for the top one. Ya. i know this excuse is lame. But no choice. First time buying RM5000 phone. Have to give myself some motivation to buy. hahaha...

It didn't feel too heavy when I was holding the phone just now - the 13 Pro Max definitely felt heavier! Did wish the screen was flat and not curved though, hahaha..

I did get it. IMO worth it if you're a klutz like me.

It does. Because the 2 year Care+ plan actually includes "Breakdowns", unlike the 1 year plan which is pretty much just an accidental damage add on to the original 1 year warranty. Think of the 2 year Care+ plan as Warranty Extension + Accidental Damage Protection.

(BTW, US Care+ even has a Theft coverage version lol)

Theoretically, as long as you keep paying the 33 (for S22) monthly fee it seems to be an endless warranty + accidental damage protection (well, technically its insurance but let's not get into that). As long as the phone is feasibly repairable anyway (if not they will replace).

Similarly whatever device protection coverage the other telcos have.

I'm clear about the max number of claims allowed yearly clause (even Care+ has those), but anybody with any experience of other "traps" with these telco device insurance packages (vs Care+)?

Yes. Despite the fact that S22 Ultra is king, a lot of reviewers actually said their favourite is the S22. They claimed that it's the most comfortable to hold on hand compared to its siblings. They also recommend if buyer don't fancy with the S pen, then they should choose the S22 for the "user-friendly" feeling. But too shame that it has small size battery. Imagine if you switch on 120hz mode, and take photos frequently. I think half day the battery life will be gone. Indeed a deal breaker.

Now back to S22 pre-order.

When you try to pre-order, there's an option for you to trade in your old phone. If you choose it, you follow the given instructions. After you trade in succesfully, the trade in money will be banked into you bank account. Afterwards, you apply your trade in ID in your pre-order page, you will get RM200 discount on your purchase of S22 series. So ya. You have to wait for their people come to collect your phone first before you can finish your order.

This exclusive offer cannot be shared to public. But somehow there's one person out there in Samsung community forum shared how to exploit the EDU. Of course in the end, the exploitation was found out by Samsung and the EDU offer was forced to close down so soon.

Huh? If that so, what if the trade in is failed at the end? Afaik, you can reject the trade in if you don't agree with the amount they offer when they come to your house to collect the phone. The amount they offered in the app is not final price. They still need to come to you and check the phone condition, then only offer the final price. Is that mean you still can get the RM 200 discount as long as you tried to trade in, even if it may get failed at the end?
