Hi All,

I am having a situation now right , back in May 2021 I sold my car (I was at NCD 55%). Till now I haven't buy a new car cause my company allow WFH and has no sign of WFO yet.

Want to ask , do my NCD downgraded to NCD 45% if I don't buy car by May 2022 ?
Or the NCD 55% sticks with me ?

Please help.

Thanks.

Wrong, your NCD will remain at 55% till your next renewal which will be reversed, 45% then 38% till 0%.

Like say I buy a new car in April 2022 (less than a year from my last SOLD car) , my NCD will still be 55% and when I renew car insurance next year April 2023 , the NCD still 55%. Correct ?

if I buy a new car in Sep 2022 (more than a year from my last SOLD car) , my NCD will be 45% and when I renew car insurance next year April 2023 , my NCD increases back to 55%. Correct ?

Thanks.

I am thinking how soon do I need to buy a new car to keep my hard earned 55% NCD.

I need a car anyway because company cannot be WFH forever.

Just wanted to know how soon.

Depends on when you last renewed your insurance, and 1 year from that date. It doesn't follow when you sold your car.

If you buy your car in Sep 2022, your insurance will be until Sep 2023. It doesn't follow ur old car anymore. Then Sep 2023 when you renew it'll be back to 55%.

Oh I see. My last renewed car insurance is Feb 2021.
Before Feb 2022 buy car = 55%
Before Feb 2023 buy car = 45%

Thanks a lot bro. Understood.
