Hi all...quick background...me and my wife have has 2 misscarriage. Latest is we found out our 13th week pregnancy baby has turners syndrome.

Doctor has suggested we do a crosomose test / genetic test to identify if there are any historical.


I'm sort of loss in this now .....any one has any contact or experience in this ? I don't plan to do dna like those circle DNA but more on heritance

Chromosome as in NIPT?
If NIPT it’s a blood test of the wife during >10 weeks pregnancy. It detects Down syndrome of the embryo.

What test Dr did for that result?


Btw how old are you and your wife?

I am 40 and she is 36. We got 2 further opinions from bangsar and sunway with an mfm specialist and confirmed the nicc results and baby has turner. All road lead to us deciding to terminate the pregnancy. Baby girl will have heart problrm, no ovaries, lack development and some retardation and she will never reach puberty without pumping hormones down .I do not wish anyone to live in this day and age witb this ....that is all if she survive the pregnancy. Most babies will die in the womb due to flued entering lungs ( drown ) or brains


The doctor has recommended that we do a cromosom test on ourself though turners is so random but we have has 2 misscarriage ( one baby passes 10th week and died in womb) whxih we couldn't identify why as we found out on the day of the planned nicc

Although the test is highly accurate but there are also small percentage of false positive.
I would suggest u do 2nd test before deciding.

Don't need to. Mfm did the scan and can see the symptoms on the baby. Neck has swollen and filled with liquid. That was immediate sign and they confirmed ...heart rate was also a little abnormal. All 3 diff specialist said the same thing that the baby has turners from the scans

Ahh i see. Thats sad.

Not sure what is that chromosome test. Is it gene test?
