Last time during free installation, the staff test the sticker with a receiver. For myvi lama, the optimal place is on the front windshield. Different cars have different effective location.

If i recall, some of the toll sensor is mounted top only at an angle to cover both headlight and windscreen, whereas some have 2 sensors at top and at eye level
Is there any standard sensor mounting places that they are following? |

Why cant they follow what Indonesia or Singapore do. This RFID sticker really a pain in the buntut. I went to few centre before successfully pasang.
1. Windsreen tak boleh because tinting and also due to continental car windscreen ada metal. 2. Headlamp tak boleh because you have headlamp protector sticker installed. I was then HUH??? If this is the case, if one fine day all toll pakai RFID, I kantoi lar. They then suggest me to tear out my headlamp protector before they pasang. I refuse. After visiting few centre, finally manage to get it fix on my headlamp. Moral of the story, our RFID implementation FAILED due to sub par technology used. |

1. Metallized windshields interfere with RF signals and are increasingly common. (Weird that why stick on headlights will have less metalized?) 2. Windshields significantly vary in height and angle. An angle that works for a standard sedan may fail on a higher SUV with a more vertical facing windshield. (This is what I experienced, SUV may or may not work on the windshield) This post has been edited by nebula87: Jan 21 2022, 10:58 AM jiangchen liked this post

Mine I stuck inside using the road tax film after suggested by one /k. In the center part above the mirror on the dotted section where the tint usually don't cover. Also slightly left towards the passenger side and at least 5cm away from the roof.

Stick inside using roadtax sticker definitely works as long as it is 5cm away from metal.
If tinted maybe different story. I stick it top left, 5+ cm away from top and left column. So far works 100%. Myvi first gen not tinted. There was a tictok video of some dude sticking it behind car plate and it also works. |

In term of location for detection, yes that's optimum. But higher risk for damage such as from stone chips and accident even a minor one.

my old car had it on the headlamp. Was sticked by the TnG people during beta test. It worked like a charm and never once failed.
When I changed my car, i bought one unit and sticked it on my headlamp..same place. Kept failing all the time. Then asked for a replacement and sticked on the windscreen. Seems perfect now. Drove from KL to Penang last few days. No issues whatsoever. |

QUOTE(mickeysew814 @ Feb 2 2022, 11:15 PM) It didn’t stick well for mine. Probably your glass or headlamp is oily or not cleaned properly. I washed my car with water-jet cleaner and the RFID is still there for more than 3 years I logged a complain before this and they asked me to pay to change. I didn’t agree. guess the speed + strong wind + rain that flush it away. |

I washed my car with water-jet cleaner and the RFID is still there for more than 3 years unker just got my 2nd RFID. my china lim ah beng add 5HP sticker is more durable than that shit sticker they delivered. Its so bad I decided to double wrap it in protective film (which taada! is thicker than their so-called weather proof sticker my ass). Lets not even get to the material for the antennae and the chip itself. The 1st wasnt quite as retarded. This post has been edited by Dezs: Feb 3 2022, 09:58 AM |

For those who stick on the head light. Won't it obstruct the light coming from the lamp or the signal light?

In the beginning they claim can go through faster. Certain place slower than walking also failed. Then I told them that, they just said sorry High tech? |
