What drill bit did you use? There are generally 3 types of bits
for wood
for metal
for concrete

If the drill does not use SDS+ drill bits suffice to say it is useless for concrete drilling. You are using the wrong tool for the job.

Those so called impact drills take forever to make a hole in concrete. Its power = the toy plastic hammer used by kids, hammering at 40000 times a minute.
Even B&D corded also.. a lot of neighbours in my apartment will try.. then give up.. they ask me come over to help them drill (for a fee lah)

What you need is a SDS plus ROTARY HAMMER. Holes in less than 10 seconds. The working principle: this is a mini Mike Tyson. No need to punch very fast, but every punch is powerful. Concrete need to be punched hard in order to break it up. It's not the same as peeling onions like metal.

Not expensive to get a rotary hammer - since the B&D orange drill already cost like RM150-160 which IMO is a total waste of money
RM180 gets you a Daewoo DARH-26SRE *full size 3kg
RM330 gets you a Bosch GBH2-20 *baby rotary but for light duty wall plug this is suitable coz its lighter for small job
RM345 gets you a Hikoki (Hitachi) DH24PH ROTARY HAMMER *full size 3kg

SDS Drill bits 5.5mm/6.0mm it can be as cheap as RM2 (see GH Hardware clearance for SKIL bits)
or RM5 for the better carbide ones (Makita/Bosch/Hitachi) or RM13 for atas carbide ones (Bosch 4-cutter) if you have extremely old/hard concrete.

The branded SDS bits last almost forever on one bit (80-100 holes per bit is common lifespan) because runtime per hole is in seconds. Not hours.
Save time save your arms and frustration and get a rotary hammer.

GBH 180LI is the 18V cordless bosch rotary hammer.. this used to sell for 350-400 only for the tool.. nowadays closer to 500 
Tool alone (was) not expensive - but need supporting battery and charger investment and that's the problem with cordless.

A rotary hammer is better, MrDIY stuff also not cheap nowadays.

That GSB120 is good for non impact tile bits in bathroom
After u go thru tile, switch to rotary.
Anyway the GSB120 very good as a screwdriver lah.

Even using a 2J cordless rotohammer - there are times where it so happen the spot got a stone (can't trust the concrete mix to be pure 100% cement and sand, some mixed stones inside) also struggle a bit so need to bring out bigger rotohammer with 2.7J if you get the Daewoo this is big enough (3.2J) confirm all can wan.

Yes can but 3.1kg is quite heavy to hold for minutes..u will spend roughly typically 7 to 10 min per hole to use tile bits. I install many WH before. Hence, I recommend using the GSB120 for tiles. You won't get a difference for tile bits.

GSB 120 very light and u dont need speed for tile bits (slower better on gear 1 otherwise too fast the tile would blunt the bit). Trust me on the weight for drilling tile. Its a slow process. Need to let the tile bit core thru slowly, even the tile bit write there max 500 rpm.

The daewoo is perfect for concrete (after u bore thru the tile 7min, spend 5 secs with it) 
Its cheaper compared to Bosch/Makita because internals (gearbox and motor) not as refined, so its heavier as a result.
Bosch/Makita stuff cost more for the refinement (vibration control, refined gearbox kinda things) - great if u use often but I guess for rare/occasional home use a Daewoo would be fine.

J joule reading is energy how powerful the rotohammer can punch.
2.0J if no stones OK. Got hard spot need to hantam a bit. Cordless bosch smallest model (GBH180LI) is 2J. It works well 99% of the time..except when kena stone. 
2.7-3J got stone can still break thru. 
GSB120 spec already maxing out 8mm masonry (bricks).
With concrete just kena one stone aka hard spot, confirm tak lepas with GSB toy hammer.

Like most shooting game, there's situation where you use the big guns and there's a use for the small pistol as well
Daewoo boleh pakai if money is tight but I must remind you its pretty heavy.

Bosch 2-20 if budget is ok for RM320-330 is lighter and better vibration control lah.

Encounter the same thing trying to install a blind. The balcony structure was concrete plastered by some cement when my parents did the extension for balcony.

Instead of investing on a normal drill (since I borrow the drill from office), went to a hardware shop and told them the situation. Bought a RM20 drill bit and it was much much easier. I still had those cheap RM20 (1set drill bits from 6mm-10mm) and in comparison, this RM20 drill bit just so much easier to drill. Even normal wall with bricks plastered by cement, it just goes through like butter unlike those cheap drill bits which required a bit of effort before you reach the soft bricks.

Should be fine if you use those cheese head screws about 38mm or 50mm long. Not the flat head one.
