Yes, very obvious more expensive than before.

Given world wide situation now, unlikely to go down in few months or maybe even a year.

Even used ones went up especially those with 2nd or 3rd gen Intel CPUs.

is it? if yes i wont wait for 2022 gaming laptops, would go ahead and buy it now since many sellers are giving discounts

Yup true. I saw a lot of discounts recenty for current models (from NB plaza x lazada sales). Scout for more discount during CNY sales.

2022 laptops will take some time to arrive here (probably mid this year). Laptops with DDR5 will cost a bomb though.

Thats what you call inflation. everything goes up.. coz chip and manufacturing shortage of components. It will just keep getting more and more expensive..

If really need to get, just get it now.

yes, at the same time im hoping when the new laptops come out, the 2021 laptops will decrease in price even further. But looks like thats not gonna happen. Same thing happening now, laptops with rtx 20 series is still selling almost the same (some even more) than the rtx 30 series laptop

I guess ill just forget about having the latest ones and just buy last year's laptop

Nowadays somehow they can magically disappearing old models without giving big discounts like what we're familiar with before this.

So even old stocks also they don't necessary give you big price drop. Instead you should be cautious with big sales, at time even new stuffs they can give discount.

I assume the rtx 20 series laptop are 2nd hand ones (those are year 2020 models). in fact, a lot of ppl selling used gaming laptop with just a fraction of the original purchase price. just skip it and look for a new '2021' models with good deals instead. rtx3060 laptops are still above rm5k though. rtx3050 is rm3.5~4k 'ish. expect rtx3050 will be the new budget range for 2022 gaming laptops.

no bro. The rtx 20 series im talking about is brand new from lazada/shopee, and also official websites like illegear, level51, etc

Not sure whether they never update the pricing, or memang it costs that much in 2022. And they also come with 10th gen intel cpu

Last time is new model come out, old model big discount.
Now is old model stay same price because new model msrp hike 20-30%
