I am a diploma holder, already working for 19 years and I want to have a MBA to further my career in my company

I have heard about OUM and WOU, but their MBA seems like doesn't carry much weight

Other than these 2 universities above, anyone knows is there any other university that offers MBA courses for working adult?(weekend or online class) My budget is RM50k and below for the whole course, preferably can finish within 3 years (max)

OUM and WOU reputation for MBA not so good

UM MBA is quite tough because all subjects are exam based.

There r good ones like Strathclyde, Nottingham and Manchester MBA. Heard about Monash one, but I am not sure how good it is.

not sure if 50k budget can cover or not.

More better ones are in Singapore, world class like INSEAD.

at end of day ask yourself, what is MBA for ? I don't really think it would help u get a promotion unless u r working for those consulting firms like Mckinsey.

I notice most students in MBA, are already high level executives GM and up. Some of them are even business owners.
They are objective is to gain knowledge, new skills sets to handle in their role, understand other functions in an organization and enhance their networking with other MBA classmates.

Manchester (offered by Sunway) used to be the highest ranked in MY but they left and was replaced by Lancaster iinm. However I heard Lancaster has also left. Although no Insead levels, both were top 50 programs at one point and expensive. Uptake I think couldn't justified continuing the program I guess

is strathclyde still around ?

Msia must be really brain drain, can't even attract lancaster and manchester.

I knew a few business owners that signed up and graduated for the manchester one.

90k ? can't recall was years ago. Lecturers only came twice a year, intensive 2 or 3 weeks, then rest you are on ur own.

Strachlydes stil around, but it's taught out of a management institute from a commercial centre. So maybe a turn off for some. Nottingham is still there but it's more of a mass production line which doesn't really screen their applicants last I checked. So might be a turn off for some looking for networking

90k, yeah I think so. But sunway offers a bursary to offset the costs and withdrawal from EPF account 2 is also allowed so for executives still a viable option

strathclyde is ok lah.

they have above average trainers. every 1/2 year lecturers from scotland come down to teach intensive for 2-3 weeks.

when it started was cheap...around 20k something. Books provided are really good. They have in house text books.

nowadays, how much ?

i think can buy a persona already with the cost ?

I think 60+ but less your EPF will be less.

Don't use ur EPF to pay for MBA lah.

60+ is very expensive

some of my friends took strathclyde when they just started only 20k+

I can imagine how much discount they reaped because they took opportunity to sign up when it just began here.
