Hi Sifu-sifu sekalian,

As someone who are not familiar with TVBox, I would like to seek your help to recommend a few TVBox that will be mainly used by my mom. Currently work in Singapore and is back to Malaysia for two weeks. Hope to buy and set it up before I go back again. Some requirements are as below.

1. Stable and future proof, the easier the interface the better it is so that my mom won't get confused
2. Mainly for Korean and China drama, need big Chinese subtitle due to her presbyopia condition
3. Don't need 4k as house TV support full HD only
4. Budget about RM500
5. Not sure if it's possible but it would be great if I can remote access the tvbox to help her fix stuff / setup things if anything went haywire

Millions thanks in advance for your help ! notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

On point 1 which is Stable and future proof, nobody can guaranty that unless you go for paid subs like Unifi TV or Astro.
All TV Box with "lifetime" apps are bound to stop working at anytime you least expected, due to copyright crackdown or whatever reasons.

Yea understand on this. More like hoping that it will last as long as possible as it would be hard to teach my mom all the new changes again especially when I am not at home.

hi bros
So far Ubox has been serving me for some 8 years and is still alive, but cost is a concern.

Yes, Remote control by teamviewer work perfectly with Ubox. Installed TeamViewer Host and support.
Then install an app start on booth to start the teamviewer host. This way, as and when u want to access you dont need to ask to old folk to allow you to get access.
After installation try reboot and test if you can remote access without any assistant from the old folk
If you want to make thing simple for old folk you could add start on boot the UBlive.

Overall, if the setting is right then all the old folk need to do is start the box with the remote control and it will start the teamviewer host in the background then start UBlive TV
and the last channel they are viewing. Just need to do is volunm up and down. Channel change up and down.

Hope this help. Bros, PM me if need help to setup all this.
