Its Ikan Tanda. Thumbs up to ZforZebra!



Guess its not seasonal since you can get it from the fishing ponds. But if you do see it, buy it and give it a try. Sweet flesh. Good for deep frying & steam.

I prepared them for my wife, MIL & kids for lunch.



Deep fried with spicy sambal for MIL & missus



Deep fried with soy sauce for the kids.



HK kailan fried with garlic.



Have a good lunch!

Looks like tilapia. Used to be cheap fish long ago, now is mid-ranged price.

if fresh, why deep dry? waste the sweetness, right?

Jenahak ni.. Ada satu kolam dekat jugra masuk joran rm3. Ikan timbang harga. Siakap bawal jenahak semua ada.. Kalau nak makan ikan yang hidup tapi harga marhaen boleh lah pergi mancing situ
