anyone using esim on their mobile phone before?? what is the benefit compare to traditional sim? thinking of converting to esim... heard that esim not so good.. is it true?

My sim slot I put my travel simcard(used to travel a lot for work last time)

quite a talk among my circle though i don't feel it safe without being tying to physical sim. Nowadays very easy kena compromised.

eSim u cannot simply transfer to new phone, local telco dont allow, overseas got telco allow this - incase u change phone u need new QR code

its convenient if got multi sim configured on your phone, especially go overseas just flip different line.

other than that, equally good.

from my experience, i have my main number on trad sim and scandal line on esim. simply for the reason that if the phone kaput during weekends or when travelling, I would not be at mercy of service provider to keep my comms going

Yes, I was overseas when had issue with my phone. Had to gaotim with telco to issue new replacement QR as I need to activate my other phone phone.

But physical sim also can get damaged though.

just that with eSIM, you can have about 8-10 different line configured on your phone. iPhone allow only 2 online at a time. one physical + any of the eSim.

Yes, can still use the call & data. Can change the setting on your phone. You can switch to data or call on any of the sims. Flexible. Both do the same function.

Can topup data through their app but expensive
