New estate and tall buildings, during design stage they will go through some kind of computer aided wind modeling.

Placement of building will ensure that their alignment cause least wind resistance, and allow the wind to pass through to provide max ventilation and to reduce heat. Which is slowly becoming an issue due to climate change.
