DivX today announced that the company will deliver DivX video technology to Sony's PlayStation 3. To date, over 100 million DivX Certified products have been shipped into the market, and the company expects this number to rise significantly with the new PS3 addition.

PS3 game title developers will be able to utilize DivX's decoder technology by updating the system software of PS3's SDK to version 2.00, which was released by Sony on November 2.
