Situation:

baby born premature in public hospital, sent to NICU right away after C-sec birth. Parents not allowed to see baby the entire time baby was in NICU due to covid policy. Baby passed away 1 week after birth in NICU.

The baby's report mentioned the baby passing away due to e coli, and the parents now highly suspect it was because the nurse didn't wash their hands properly before handling the baby. Somemore the entire time the parents never interacted with the baby while the baby was in NICU (as mentioned above, covid policy, no parents allowed to visit).

Is there anything the parents can do? Take legal action? Complain to MoH?

i am sorry for the lost...

as a first step i guess u need to get the medical report and ask a trusted doctor to get through it with you.

FYI E coli can be pass from the mom during birth also

the baby born preterm @ how many weeks? < 25 weeks?
