Prey (2022)
How is this movie?
In a word, authentic!
It is authentic to the Comanche tribe.
It is authentic to the beautiful, beautiful landscape used as the back drop.
And most importantly it is authentic to the creature, Predator.
This movie blind sided me.
After all the empty promises made by the other sequels and cross over for the Predator, I did not have high hopes for it.
When it was announce that it would be via streaming only, I just rolled my eyes and said, there you go.
Having had the chance to watch it, this is a worthy prequel to Predator.
Why is it worthy?
It was true to the Predator movie (to the main creature) and took some tidbits from THAT movie, and wrote a strong story based on THAT tidbit and we have this movie.
I enjoyed this movie immensely.
My only complain is why is this on streaming only>
What the heck is Disney thinking?
Did it do this to reduce competition with it's other more "important" movies (Marvel etc)?
I don't know.
If you are a fan of Predator and like good movies (bloody ones).
This is a GOOD movie for you.
My Two Sen
All original Hollywood more streaming friendly than BLOCKBUSTERS already especially prevalent during lockdown height haha
I also dont mind movies like LUCA and RED is streaming exclusive only because they are just small movies unlike the big MARVEL titles hahahaha
